Under the hammer.

Harley is making the media boil for all the wrong reasons.
His want to fight and argue is drawing the ire of plenty of the media “experts”.
No doubt the kid can play, but gee he lacks something between his ears.
I said to my better half at half time that all he wants to do is fight witht he opposition after she asked my if he was playing.
It is similar to Jason Horne-Francis in his year at North..Made headlines for all the wrong reasons.
And to make matters worse, their supporters adore him, like a former player that ran off the rails.Adulation should have its limits.Every time he went neat the ball yesterday, the mob went ape sheeit.
I guess time will tell if he is going to stay.

Curious isn’t it? I think he may be feeling some pressure put on him by the press and also the opposition are not going to let him have an easy run. I bet he’s wishing he was back over east where he won’t be a god, he’ll just be a very good prospect. I hope he re-sisigns, but as I’ve said before, I don’t think he has ever entertained staying on past his 3 years. That’s why they should let him go and capitalise on what they could get for him.

The pressure on the teenager is enourmous.Hes getting pulled in every direction. The east coast clubs are trying to creat, kaos.
Rumour is also going around. That the Eagles have offered Harley .Hungry Jacks Barrick Street. The most profitable HJ’s in Wa.Not the first time a HJ’s has been involved in an Eagles deal.Simo owns the South Perth store.

I seriously don’t think his head is in the right space. He was allowed to get away with murder last year and seems like he is carrying that on. But I think even some followers are getting sick of his antics.
For all the bonhomie that the other players carry on with about him, you have to wonder if they are using a piece of paper to cover the cracks.
Read a couple of things in the press this morning that don’t bode well for him.
And, you can bet the Lions will be in his face the enitire game on the weekend.Zorko will be relentless.

HL+S the boys is entertaining the fans
Carlton two high first rounders
Essendon 3 first rounder with two over no 10.
I would jump at the Bombers deal. And let the young man return back to Melbourne.
Eagles look crapola for at least another 3 years Looks at Richmonds round 1,performance.

Spot on gtr. Although letting him go easily may well come back to bite the Eagles, but what do you do? Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

58 if the Eagles struggle for the next couple of seasons.Harley will cop the heavy tag every match. If hes worth 3 first rounders you have to trade, imo. He has done a great service for West Coast. And a great pick up if it is Essendon. No losers in such a deal
Was disappointed with the Eagles coaches at HT.Harley should of been moved onto one of the good GCS mids,Miller or Rowell. So he could be around the footy.

Agree with you gtr. The farewell drums are getting louder, so grab the money and run at the end of this season.

I would have thought if he really liked it here and wanted to stay he would have asked his girlfriend Yasmin Dursma to come here and the Eagles would have snapped her up. I’m sure the Eagles have put that suggestion to him.

The fact we haven’t heard anything in the media around that suggests 1. She doesn’t want to make the move West and 2. He’s told her nah I’ll be heading home when my contract is up. One thing for sure, the Eagles need to get cracking on the field if they want to convince Harley to stay.

On the contrary Fremantle first pick Murphy Reid haa said his gf and best mate are relocating here and he’s been here what, 3 or 4 months? Fremantle need to get cracking on the field also.

Two totally different attitudes .One totally full of himself. Was before he was selected .
The look of disappointment on his face when the Eagles selected him was telling.

The other was more than happy when he was selected by Fremantle.Has settled in with the club and players.
Maybe one will be a better player, but the other one will be happier in the way he plays the game.
Read today , massive $2.5 on the table. I am not sure that the Eagles will try to match that, if as was reported, Essendon, two first rounder, and Richmond, are well and truly invested in getting him.
A couple of first rounders and maybe trade, along with Reid, another that isn’t much value.
They will have to look long and hard, because their skipper, Oscar Allen, could very well be on the move as well.

I read an article a week or so ago stating that Harley had only played 8 minutes of scintillating footy last year, a bit harsh I think. Let’s see what the lad is made of over the next 3 or 4 weeks. Eagles are in for a spanking this week, so that would be a good time to see him in the best player list.

I am not sure that Harley would have won many friends with his antics yesterday. And he copped more flack from the media for giving away 7 frees and not caring.

Surely a fine for flipping the birs to the spectators. And also another for dropping the knees into Zorko while he was flat on his back and vulnerable.
Maybe a fine from the club.

Giving away 7 frees won’t endear him to the fans. As for ‘the bird’…….pfffffttt. If that’s the worst thing he does, he’ll be doing ok.
