After honouring Bill Dempsey and Dennis Commetti with a Minute and a Half’s Silence and a quick Video Montsge on the Scoreboard,the Cardies couldn’t further honour their Legends,struggling against the Tigers!
They just couldn’t create much system and often looked flat footed against a far better cohesive Claremont outfit,determined to make a Statement,not only yesterday,but throughout the Season.
It was a poor finish to the day for the Home Team,after 2 good Wins earlier in the day,in the Futures with the last kick of the game by 5 points,I heard.
Then the Ressies boys put on a clinic,as they Dictated play for about 90% of the game,leaving the Tigers look listless and disinterested!
So perhaps there’s still hope,if you have guys putting pressure on the Senior players with good Footy in the Ressies!
You’ll possibly need 2 to go up if Aaron Black and Sam Rotham sustained an Injury,but Rotham possibly might be ok,surprisingly and thankfully!
Aaron was in quite some discomfort and may have an issue with a cracked rib or 2 after a big collision in the Final Quarter.
Here’s hoping it was only a light tissue issue(no pun intended)and he can still train during the week,but sparingly.
He didn’t look in a great way when he came off though.
Yeah good comments Grassy and I wasn’t giving up for the season or anything like that with my previous comments just totally frustrated that with all the honouring the club has put in over the last few weeks for our two legends on the field the 23 “players “ tasked with showing some respect for them by playing their hearts out just didn’t show up.Insipid and heartbreaking.No disrespect to CL they played well but they didn’t have to try too hard to look good.History will show that at the first chance to really honour the memories they failed miserably.

Even tougher to bear,losing to that mob next door to us,Worse yet with 10 more scoring shits,yet going down by 15 points.
What the hell happened?
80 more disposals, 24 more inside 50s and 10 more scoring shots. Hard to imagine how the game was lost.

I might be stating the bleeding obvious,but the only Stat that counts,is that one on the Scoreboard.
Quality over quantity …..efficiency will always supercede inefficiency…..you reap what you sow……the list goes on and on
