Top end series v South Africa

Sadly Aust top 6 were in T20 mode…no common sense whatsoever…except for Marsh…who more often than not is a major culprit in batting brain fades…Carey reverse sweeping first ball…seriously…the guy is 34…experienced and should know better…Inglis has been disappointing of late…as for Head…well the brain fades are occurring more of late…Hardie is batting too low…and bowling too high…Green missed a straight one…the less said about Labs the better…but hey who knows in the ODI format…the 7 mentioned above could come out and serve me a huge slice of humble pie.

Another abject batting performance tonight, Inglis excepted. Hardie is not really adding value to the team in either batting or bowling. Ellis is a good T20 bowler, jury out in ODIs. Marnus must be running out of chances, maybe Carey too in the white ball format. Kuenemann and Connelly should be given a run in the dead rubber on Sunday

Insipid
How on earth is Labuschane in the side

Agree, what about some of the SA guys who won the one day title last year. I’m thinking McKenzie Harvey, McSweeney, Liam Scott, Jason Sangha, McAndrew, Buckingham. Surely some of those deserved a go instead of Marnus and a few others

Time for a few left field decisions TBH, Sangha deserves a crack at 3, leave Green at 4, Inglis at 5, Olly Davies at 6, even give a couple of Vic boys a crack in Dixon and Kellaway as openers…get some fresh blood in there…the likes of Head and Marsh make the same brain fade mistakes over and over again…they score a score every now and then, and keep their spots for the next 5 - 6 failures…

Would also like to see Fergus O’Neill get a go Freezin. He looks like hes got a bit of X factor and can bat as well. Also Riley Meredith. Hazlewood really shouldnt be playing in these games
Sadly Lance Morris has opted for surgery to fix his back issues which now rules him out for the entire 25-26 season and for up to 12 months. At 27 you would have to start wondering whether he will ever reach his potential

Too busy watvhing footy to see any cricket today. But looking at the score card, everything went for the Aussies. Three tons and Green got his in 55 balls.
Then Connoly took five fa.

Have to ask why that wasn’t shown earlier than a dead rubber
Theres some issues if you do that so easily and not much else

South Africa rested their main ODI bowlers!

Win the first two out of three , becomes a dead rubber.
I think it was common knowledge.

The only positive to come out of that Aust win…is that they won…and won comfortably…imagine if they hadn’t scored as many as they did…or hadn’t bowled out that SA 3rd XI for as little as they did…good to see Green score his maiden international ODI ton…and Connolly a maiden 1st class 5 for…can only beat what is put in front of you I guess…

Must admit, I did feel a bit sorry for Marnus watching others fill their boots on a road against a 3rd grade attack for 50 overs

I don’t mikeh…Marnus shouldnt even be in the ODI squad let alone the starting XI…time to look at the likes of Sangha, Dixon, Scott etc…

Good to read that Green is back bowling in the nets again.
