a very good career in the WAFL
one of the great football mysteries as to how this guy couldn’t get a look in at
the WCE but all those druggies did ahead of him
well done Nottey

That’s an extraordinary WAFL career and congrats to Tony.

He’s certainly one who qualifies for the label of “champion” of the game which is thrown around too easily for my liking but certainly fits the bill in Notte’s case.

I only hope he gets into the WAFL/AFL hall of fame as I’d be pissed off if Daisy Pearce gets in after 55 AFLW games and he doesn’t.

A bit sad to be hearing the news. I thought he would see the season out. It would be fair to say he is a Swan Districts legend and fantastic champion of the Wafl. And all played for the one club. Hope Swans put in a top performance for his last match.

And the Swan Districts v Royals match is being covered by the SportFM commentary team i’m led to believe.

I hope so. For Swans sake and Perth.

One of the truly great SWANS.

Going to be interesting to find out the attendance for this match. I would have thought a turn out of 3,000 to 4,000. Any number exceeding would be fantastic. Really disappointing if the crowd any less given the significance of the day, plus the match held in fine weather.

Very disappointing that the rest of the Swans team couldn’t produce more than an insipid performance to farewell Tony. The timing of his retirement made it possible for him to get a clearance to the Busselton Magpies before June 30 and I believe he is playing out the season with them. Busselton are on top of the SWFL table at the moment and Tony’s inclusion will certainly enhance their premiership prospects. I will be keeping a keen eye on his progress for the rest of the year as to be frank there is bugger all to get excited about at Bassendean

I think you guys are being a little bit harsh on your team. How often do sides, even successful ones, lose a game on a team mates big milestone match?

The game is between the ears and one team is 2% off and the other team 100% on then that’s often the difference.

I doubt Tony Notte thinks any less of his team mates because they lost to a top 4 side in his last game for the club.

Good to see the back of him lol.
He’s been a pain in the arse for the DEES for far too long.
Great career, well played Tony.

I thought there’d be more discussion about the pathetic coaching display which saw Notte play back for 3 and half qtrs and the team have 2 goals until half time on a perfect day. Aidan Clarke down back and we played with a spare from the opening bounce. Notte should’ve been up fwd from the get go, imagine the momentum if he’d gotten a goal early on instead of in the last 5min. Instead the biggest crowd of the season was delivered a wet blanket.

Thanks Tony.Fantastic career.Up their with other club legends. Like Stan Nawotny and Kieth Narkle.
