Tim Kelly

BC it’s been reported Fremantle are looking at Richmond duo Kamdyn McIntosh (ex Peel) and Connor Menadue, both can play in the midfield and around the 187/88cm height. They can possibly help fill the gap in the midfield while the younger draftees come on. No doubt Reece Conca is providing some great intel there.

Don’t forget also we drafted SA and AA u/18 captain Luke Valente and Sam Sturt last year and both had injury interrupted debut seasons. I think also if J-Lo (lol is that what we are going with now?) can get Jesse and McCarthy fit they can run through the midfield a bit if Taberner and Cox are fit then there is also young Hugh Dixon coming on.

With Pearce, Wilson and Hamlin fit and firing down back, I’d like to see Griffin Logue have a crack at running through the middle. Big body, pretty skilful and if he works on his tank over the offseason I reckon he could do the job if given a chance.

Looks like the deal has been done with an in principle agreement which will see the Eagles send two first round picks and a second round pick to the Cats.

Eagles got out of it lightly if it’s correct. Having a healthy team culture seems Paramount, trading out a popular player could have really upset the apple cart.

Eagles are very good traders.
I believed the deal would be done.
Awesome midfield.

Great result for Geelong. Who picked up Tim Kelly with there number 24 pick.Have payed Tim a rookie wage. And now receive two first round selections and a second rounder. In return they give West Coast there 4th round selection.

Dealers, traders it all runs in the family.

Handy replacement for puffin Willie.

Probably just as well the Shockers didn’t want or need him, because DD would be spitting chips otherwise.

Nah I’m chilled thanks Jack. Still smiling after netting Hogan and Lobb in one trade period last year . Add Conca to that and the year before got pick 2 for Lachie Weller, a dashing half back flanker. Can’t be too greedy.

Yeah Conca over Kelly is a chillin win win everyday of the week…LOL…as for Lobb and Hogan…on paper a great trade score…sadly paper means fark all come match day…

*meant

Deals done, will be confirmed today.

Kelly an Eagle.

Lol that ridiculous post shows how rarely you post on AFL topics. You should stick to your job as Subiaco’s doorman refusing entry to intruders trying to spoil their party. What a shame you can’t be impartial when you post.

I suspect this deal has been stitched up for quite a while, not just cobbled together in the last few days. Makes you wonder what Chris Scott was going on about, just posturing I guess.

Wow just looked at what the great traders gave up to get him. Looks like they sold the farm. Picks 14, 24 and 37 this year and next year’s first rounder. And 800k a year x 5. Ouch that leaves no wriggle room. Got a familiar feel about what Carlton had to give up to get Judd…

I was thinking the same thing DD. If you were a WCE supporter you’d be hoping for a few stellar years from him. With a few aging guys on their list it doesn’t give WCE much room to pick up some quality young blokes to replace them if their current batch of youngsters don’t come on as expected. Geelong must be pretty happy with themselves you’d think. I’m actually glad Freo didn’t pick him up as for mine, it’s too high a price to pay for a guy who’s 25…time will tell if it’s a good get I guess.

I think they got it right, when you’re in a premiership window it’s worth taking a gamble to get a proven, class midfielder into the squad.

Being a Freo supporter that’s not something I know too much about tbh.
