Going to be wet, apparently. Lots of youth in the team. Bartlett a bit unlucky.
Hickey might have a church pedigree. I met an Irish guy in the pub last Friday who’s only knowledge of Subi was that a bishop Hickey or someone significant in the Catholic church might have played. Xavier sounds like he might be the grandkid or similar.
Some good ins there, obviously looking at the weather being very wet they have dropped Edwards and gone with Eaton who is much more mobile, plus Swans rucks are not in the top shelf of the WAFL, no Jones Eastlands or the like to contend with. Thought Bartletts bustling style might be suited to the wet, but not to be. Should be a close contest between the bottom 2 WAFL teams.
Oval was ok. Great puddles. Enjoyed the muddy battles. Good effort by both teams. One of the Swans mums called a Subi player a dog. I enjoyed that. As Mick Malloy would say, that’s why I come to the footy.
Douglas looked promising, again. And we won the reserves. Quiet debut by Hickey. But he seems to have size and pace.
