This week against the Toasters

Some big outs for Subi and big ins for the wankers. Could be a danger game is we’re not switched on.

Ins. Lachlan O’KEEFE, Jordan SNADDEN
Outs. Galen SAVIGNI, Greg CLARK

Ins. Tom COLE, Jayden HUNT, Connor KLEMKE, Jacob NEWTON, Matthew OWIES, Jack PETRUCCELLE
Outs. Thomas EDWARDS-BALDWIN, Malakai CHAMPION

No savigni. That’s a worry. Will miss Clarky too.

West coasts ins will be keen to impress as well. Bugger.

Savigni hasn’t been in fantastic form but seems harsh to be dropped! He is an emergency.

Yes, I’m not sure that’s right Frothy as he was a bit sore during last weeks game. I guess we’ll wait and see if he plays ressies. He’s up there in our best performers so can’t believe he’d be dropped.

No ressies this week unfortunately

Savigni has consistently been in our best players along with Clark, so massive outs. Needs the rest of the backs and mids to step up a level. Our forward line is in good form, if we can break even in the mids and get some good inside 50 numbers we should be ok but it will be a tight game. Might be wet which seems to suit our recent style of play.

It’s saying Savigni was omitted. I can’t believe that. He’s our best defender. He must have transgressed somehow and is being punished surely.

What has happened to my once great club? Our skills were poor and decision making even worse highlighted by an experienced Braut kicking out from the back pocket into the corridor and turning it over for a goal.

Our structures appear all over the place with Borchet our only decent forward and Mayo playing in the ruck for large pieces of the game. What’s that all about?

We’re sadly lacking through the midfield with Schofield carrying the entire load. Our backs are too small and we lack pace right across the park.

We were outworked and I lost count of the number of times the ball came into the beagles forward 50 and we were outnumbered. The same went back the other way where they had extra numbers down back which saw Borchet fighting a lone hand against a couple of taller defenders.

That suggests to me they worked harder than us.

Richards 2 possessions for the game, Robbins 7 possessions and 1 tackle, Corbett 6 possessions, Snadden 1 tackle, Bartlett 1 tackle…The output is just not good enough,.

I came away from today’s game now totally convinced we’re the worst side in the comp and an embarrassment to supporters and sponsors. Wardman and the entire footy department have a lot to answer for letting it spiral down to this after a flag in 2021.

It wasn’t great, but we’ve had a good month. Eagles had lots of talent at WAFL level. They moved the ball really well. Killed us in the clearances. It was tough to watch.

On the plus side, the club did an excellent job holding a NAIDOC presentation after the game in the rooms and involving the WAFLW side in the post match function

Couldn’t agree more BC. I actually thought we had turned the corner a bit, but nope, back to the shite we have churned out for most of the year.

Let’s face it, Edwards is a log, probably the worst ruckman we have ever had. Snadden is big and strong but is half arsed and doesn’t put his body on the line. We aren’t going anywhere with those two in the team

Sorry JL, but when you only win 3 games all year then the last month doesn’t count for much.

I’m glad you enjoyed the NAIDOC stuff but it doesn’t mean a whole to me when I have to sit through the other crap for 2 1/2 hours.

While we are naming names, bloody hell I can’t watch Berenger. Our defenders were woeful. Well, they weren’t alone. I watched the last quarter of the Perth v Sharks game and it was like watching a completely different level.

You were unlucky coming up against 17 listed players. There were the usual spuds like Barnett, Livingstone and Jamieson, but also some experienced players like Owies, Hunt, and Cole, and other guys that have been in the system 2-3 years: Long, Chesser, Bazzo. Makes a big difference.

That’s what struck me when I looked at the Weagles players list on the WAFL game day website.

There were an awful lot of youngish players with AFL experience.

What’s happened to your once great club BC? $$$. We now have all 8 WAFL clubs playing under fairly even conditions.

Then why hasn’t Subi been caught cheating the salary cap unlike just about every other club including yours?

Bit harsh don’t you think

Shit boy where have you been?? Truth hurt? I’m not the only one who thinks the same

Kick it long, In 2025, Edwards averages 1 grab a game and about 2 kicks, do you think that is up to scratch for a number 1 ruckman in a wafl team? Personally I rate rucks by the number of grabs they take. How about you?

Snadden averages 2 tackles a game, where as the likes of Clark and Richards, with similar physical stature as Snadden, average 7-8.
Snadden needs to start throwing his weight around if he wants to be a serious player

…as I have said before, it was always going to be a big ask for a 2024 reserves ruck to step up
