This week against the Sharks

Mott out and Golding in but otherwise unchanged. Good to see Eaton back playing in the ressies this week as he could play down back as a tall and be second ruck to Edwards. Seeing Mayo doing the job makes me nervous given his knee issues.

We’ve improved over the last couple of weeks so wouldn’t be surprised if we give some cheek, but can’t see us getting over the line unfortunately when you compare respective player line ups. Hopefully the boys will make me eat my words.

EF there for the taking…Subi like SD, are a due a win over EF.

I agree Freezin.. We’re due a win and this is the week.

Yes, it’s going to be an interesting round 12. The weather is forecasted to be fine for game day. Lets hope all the venues are well attended.

I worry about our pace, old easts always flog us in that department these days. Pray for rain!

I liked the work of Richards last week in his first game back after being out for a long stretch. His pressure and tackling was first class. Hopefully he can pay back that big goose Jono for fucking him up last time we met

Agree with your comments on Richards DG. He was fearless last week with a couple of bone crunching tackles.

I’d also like to see Braut line up on Marsh because I don’t think he’d stand for Marsh’s crap and niggling. I recall Braut got rubbed out a couple of years ago for belting an EF player at the WACA, so reckon it might be a carbon copy if Marsh carries on like he normally does.

Yes BC it would be worth watching for that match up alone!

I went to the members QnA session with the board last night. Interesting experience. The board were very approachable. Looks like there could be some movement on the memorabilia returning to the rooms.

I didn’t see that coming. I was hopeful we’d be competitive based on the last couple of weeks, but to hang on for a win was fantastic.

Congrats to the players , coaches and support staff. I thought it was a team effort with no real standouts but solid performances from Schofield, Giro, big Edwards, Bartlett (his best game this year), Mayo, Corbett and a host of young blokes.

I thought our pressure around the ball carrier was very good and although the gummies were a bit cleaner by hand and foot, our work rate made up for it. To hang on in the last quarter is a sign of growing maturity from a young group.

Only downside was Clark who looks like a shoulder or collar bone which could be quite a stint on the sideline. Really good win and hopefully gives the group some confidence for the rest of the season.

Mayo was fantastic. And I shook hands with Brian Taylor.

Sony Siano looked like an AFL prospect. He’s got something.

Sshhh. Don’t tell the AFL scouts JL, but I do agree. He doesn’t get many touches but hurts the opposition when he does and will only get better with time.

Summed up pretty well BC, total team effort against a quality opposition, cant really identify any real passengers. mayo a standout along with Giro Hickmont Schoey and Clark until his injury. All on the same page these last 3 or 4 games, credit to Wardman and his coaching/selection panel for turning a poor season around. Looks like we will have a real say in how the top 5 will end up. Almost doing the Tiges, then EP and Now the Gummies. That being said, i dont think anyone will get near the Doggies if they stay fit. Only danger for them is their inability to win a final at Optus…

Both reserves and league games went down to the wire…with Subi winning both of them. Sounds like EF had a few chances to win it at the death, but Subi held their nerve. Out of interest, was there a breeze favouring one end? If so, Subi did well to out score EF in the last, if EF were kicking with it in the final stanza.

Snadden will be spewing not being part of this win over his old side…him going to Subi, saw the end to Subi’s hold over EF. Though looks like an ex EF colt had a good game on Sat…where has Alone gone? Thought he did well for you lads during his time at Subi.

Richie Bartlett had his best game of footy, id say, ever. Kept taking important marks and kicked a few goals. Competed on the ground, too. We wouldn’t have won without him.

Alone was a good contributor for Subi. Now playing Perth footy league, I think.

No wind advantage. Still conditions.

Bartlett was very good but must have been on his last chance after recent form, but he brings some X factor to the forward line, pace strength and a good kick at goal.
WCER next game cant take them for granted, we struggled to get the win against them early in the season.
