Greg Freeze.
From memory Wardman is contracted until the end of next season and would be very surprised if he’s around after that given the inconsistent results over the last few years.
We have signed both G. Clark and Foley today
Fantastic news ! Welcome home Greg and Luke!
Looking forward to a great year in 2024 now.
Gotta be happy with that! Well done to the club for getting done!
Welcome home boys. Terrific news and with Hayden returning, we should have a Rolls Royce midfield. Just need another tall KPP up forward to take the place of Kentfield who should get drafted.
Thats the news all Subi people wanted to hear, Foley a perfect replacement for Heal and G Clarke will add some extra power to the mids and up forward, at his size he could easily play CHF. Expect Hayden may have a slow start to the season coming off an ACL but will add real grunt to the mids group which is needed against quality mids groups like EF, EP, CL and Peelmantle.
BC, I think Mayo needs to play CHF, even though he’s done well playing off a wing, he is a natural forward and being a lefty is an advantage in that position imho. We need a couple of the small forwards to take the next step and be consistently hitting the scoreboard with 2 or 3 per game, cant just rely on Sok who finished the season on 1 leg but still managed to make some sort impact despite the woeful delivery. Hope one of the clubs signings will be a new forwards coach who can also communicate and coordinate with the mids coach, it appeared they weren’t doing so for much of last season.
[quote=“Freezin post=231984 userid=945”]Are we talking Zac Clarke or Greg Clark here? Keep seeing the name Clarke popping up on here. Surely Greg Clark is a Subi boy thru n thru?

A lot of Clark/e’s in the WAFL right now, well at Perth and Subiaco anyway. Perth got two with an e and one without, Subi one of each . I think Swans have one. Can get confusing
Swans have Aiden Clarke DD.
The media is suggesting that Geelong may throw Greg Clark a last minute AFL lifeline. For Greg’s sake I hope thats true, he might get a better go over there than he got from Wet Toast, but from a selfish Subi perspective, I hope he stays.
Regardless of what happens with Greg we desperately need a couple of good mids with pace, particularly now Giro is out, or we will have no hope against the likes of old easts, joondy and even ferals to a lesser extent
Looks like we have signed Marlin Corbett from gc suns. Mid/winger he looks the goods
Good news as we need to bolster the mids and add some pace given Scooter Giro is out for the year.
Anyone going to the AGM on Wednesday night?
Planning to go along BC , will let u know what is discussed, results etc.
Cheers mate. It’ll be interesting to see where we landed finance wise after posting losses last couple of years.
Yes they have been concerning, but club didn’t seem overly worried last year. Nathan O’Connor is the treasurer and wasn’t there last year will probably give us an update on the finances!
Yes, I remember seeing a few years ago, the club apparently has extensive property investments which is probably a legacy from the Kevin Merrifield days. So whilst the P&L might not look too great, the balance sheet could still be pretty healthy but in saying that, as a club we don’t want to be losing money every year.
I see martin frederick is again looking at moving west next year, could be the pressure forward with a bit of toe that we need. I know we were in the hunt for him last season
Yes would be a good pick up, trained once with us last year but decided to return to South Australia.
