Yes SD,I’m quite confused how the Joondalup based club suddenly finds itself on such sound financial footing, when it was only fairly recently when they offered creditors 4 cents in the dollar, then begged the commission to pay the players wages??.I’m sure their response will be to say that “we’ve finally have our own bar”and if that’s the case, they must make more on match day than the CAMFIELD to be able to recover from their dire financial predicament in such a short space of time.

been told it’s the friendship with Connor West that may have something to do with this stuff
makes some sense

I heard Clark is likely to sign with Subi.

Here we go, the tool pipes up again ! This is coming from the supporter who’s club sold it’s soul 3 x times, claimed 3 x flags and are equivalent to the Perth FC for genuine Premierships won since 78. I could go on and on…

You blokes have got no shame or conscience. You were broke to the tune of almost a million dollars and gave your creditors diddly squat but now boast about how financially sound you are. Should have copped a ban from recruiting for 5 years but we know what a spineless bunch of twats the commission are.

Giovanni you can change your Alias’s as much as you like, but at least get the spelling right “Winnen””you dumb bambino. You can keep living your Joondalup lie,and keep claiming Joondalup council success’s I really don’t care, but do you understand your club jibbed creditors, and begged the commission for money to pay your players wages, and now you want to gloat about how much money you’ve got in the bank,so do you understand how bad that looks shit for brains???

Gents please…this has nothing to do with Subi and the year we’ve had, so could you move it to a separate thread somewhere else? Thank you.

Sorry. But I will never stop fighting for truth and justice

BC, reading bits of Zac Clarkes Outridge medal acceptance speech on the website, there was no mention of him hanging up the boots, on the flipside no mention of him staying on. Would be great to get one more season out of him, plus his mentoring of our group of raw young rucks would be invaluable. DD mentioned that Greg Clark is now likely to return to Subi which will be huge, he along with a fit Hayden, and possibly Foley and Menagola will put us well in the frame for a good 2024.
Now if we can get a new dynamic innovative forwards coach to sort out that group …

Agreed SS. With the addition of those guys you mentioned and a functioning forward line, I think we have a good basis to push ahead next year and challenge.

Greg Clark is now in our squad on our website along with a few colts boys

DG isn’t that standard practice these days,to ensure a tsf fee if any delisted AFL local decides to play elsewhere?
Can’t see Clark going anywhere but Subi TBH.

The wafl website yes Freeze, but not sure about the club website as Foley is not on it but Clark is

Latest rumour is that Claremont are throwing everything at Clark to get his signature. He would be the prize recruit going in the WAFL although Swans and now Perth have pick up a couple of top shelf eastern states mids. Like Clark, does Foley automatically revert back to our list once delisted?

I wonder with Horsley taking the reins at WCER, Kyal will have a quiet word in Clark’s ear about playing at WCER?

With their new raft of concessions they’ll be flag favourites for 2024, so it may not be as unappealing as it sounds!

Satan you may not be far from the truth, Imagine if both Freo and WC AFL teams have injury free seasons in 24, we face the prospect of a WCER & FART GF. That event could be held at Claremont oval and still have plenty of seats left over.

I just noticed Aaron Heal is off our playing list which I guess is confirmation of his retirement.

What a terrific player he was and one of the best defenders in recent club history. His partnership with Lockyer, Dewar, Hayden Kennedy, Drew Rohde and even Rumba back in the early days saw him play 160 games, win 4 flags and help form one of the most effective defensive units over the last couple of decades. Congrats on a great WAFL career Aaron.
