The Tom-Toms are Beating

Chief Sitting Screamar has his ear to railway line, Smoke signal from far east, Tonto smoking peace pipe with elders in the west, will bring Geronimo and squaw to help pay for tee pee. Elders not to pay for moccasins, get in the shit with commission. Geronimo, muscles in his shit, corporal Agarn reports Geronimo took 58 scalps on his reservation last season. Tribe eager to pow wow with Geronimo, Geronimo will look good in redskin. Two bwanas have settled back to where the lake that glistens.

Add that to the Ins & Outs will you KCEF

if that is Brodie Mclaughlin like I think it is
join the rest of Australia in trying to get the paper signed mate

Chief sitting screamer sees smoke signal from the west, four braves who camp near glistering lake have pow wow with chief, one brave fuck off to big smoke, don’t like trail. Three from other reservations sitting around camp fire, no firewater deal, get in shit with commission. Other reservation put on war paint. One paleface run like the wind, heaps casino chips, other reservation talk with fork tongue with war paint. Tonto talk with Kemosabe to make paleface redskin.

Can’t say too much but there are two lads on the cusp of signing, both will definingly play from day one if they come on. Two local boys / managers have approached the club because they have purchased properties in the northern suburbs and there are another three local lads that are in negotiations. This is another typical year of recruiting players and out of the seven prospects you generally end up with one super-duper player and two that are very average.

Thanks Winger, finally someone talking English on this topic.

Great comments Winger on the success rates of recruits.Yes there will be exceptions some years where several recruits click straight away (us in 2022 is an example) but generally lots of names are listed annually and very few are successful and/or long term. The other thing is generally they are untried at league level. The tricky thing is balancing the playing group so that your young players get a chance. We have been successful in the last two seasons with our colts and reserves combining for 3 grand final appearances so clearly there is talent there.I’m not sure if your comments apply to established players coming from other clubs or untested young guys with potential (who we seem to have a few of).The names will come shortly no doubt and it’s going to be interesting.

Winger you’re the man in the know with all things player movements at the club so what is the playing status for 2024 with the following: Meadows,Reilly,Knott,Hutchings,Guadagnin,Dobson,O’Donnell,Pierce,C.Johnson and Hamilton. The club website looking strange.

Meadows,Reilly,Knott,Hutchings,Guadagnin,Dobson,O’Donnell,C.Johnson and Hamilton are all staying on. I was told that Pierce was taking a year off travelling, I haven’t had that confirmed.

Thanks mate much appreciated.Pity about Pierce will be sorely missed being a recent B and F but will give a younger guy ( maybe Bevan) a chance to establish themselves.

The Glenelg boys have big wraps with Brock Carter, giant Ruckman that has been transferred to W.A due to work commitments.

Winger judging by the past reviews I can see why you made those comments about his potential. He got good reviews whilst playing in the NTFL but although a good league I don’t think it’s quite as good as the WAFL.His time spent at Glenelg was mostly in the reserves but his stats were encouraging and he clearly has talent and also at 24 he is ready to play.Mate does this mean he joins Sprigg,Mallard,Yukich and Patterson as ruck options? If so we are looking better for height.
