Terms & Conditions

Hi All,

I have just slaved over some basic terms and conditions plus a privacy statement. I feel this is neccessary in this day and age. Please feel free to have a glance over it.

All new users will have to agree to the T&C when signing up.

The reason is to aleviate some of legal responsibilty for user posts (off George and myself), and also to let you know how we intend to deal with “Trolls”, and also your basic privacy.

Most of it will not affect the majority of users to this site.

The Terms & Conditions can be found from the top tab bar.

Please let me know if there is anything your not certain of.

Thanks for your understanding.

Mike.

All good.. Just one question how do you send a PM to another member on this site. Had a look but cant find that option?

You can’t send a PM just yet.. I have included this into the T&C as I am working on the PM side of things, and possibly even a “shoutbox”.

Mike.

Thanks Mike. Sounds good whats a shoutbox? Is that a chat page?

The T&C’s are easy to understand in my opinion. Looking along the list shows a summary whereby common sense seems to be the order.

Yep, other sites have like a private message function, cannot see why it would not work here.

I think it could be a handy feature on OzFooty.Net, however implementing at the right time is the trick. I have a module that I am working on amongst other features to be added to the site.

Its all a learning curve for me as I’m no IT geek… They still had typewritters when I went to school.

Mike.

A Shoutbox is just a small module that sits on the side column. Not a fully fledged chat. Just allows people to post a quick hello or message. It was live for about 1/2 an hour the other day, but still needs some refining.

Depending on how well the PM works, the shoutbox might not be needed. We’ll see.

And a quick addition. Great to watch the site coming along like it is. Brilliant to see it’s not been plastered with crappy stupid advertising. Gotta love that part. :woohoo:

Just looked at the ABOUT heading on the top tab bar. I love the part whereby it says ‘free from the disadvantages of advertisment pop-ups, “trolls”, and spam.’
It all sounds mighty fine.
