Not a good quarter for the Demons. Swans 7.4(46) Perth 4.8(32). Tom Roach had the ball 13 times that quarter, Wade womey had it 10 times, Robinson had it 9 times and Jetta had it 7 times.
For the Demons, Bevan (13 disposals, 1 goal), Tedesco (12 disposals), Bateman (12 disposals), Moody (11 disposals) and Hodge (20 disposals) have been the ball winners. Our only goal of that qarter was kicked through Daniel O’Sullivan.
More of the same as far as I am concerned, no forward structure so we had no system going forward as opposed to Swans who maintained a forward structure all day and thus looked much better moving the ball.
Star recruit Reimers hardly sighted and didn’t spend much time on the field in the second half and looked disinterested at 3 qtr time. Had to be told to get close to the huddle. Murray and Leindekkers didn’t play, neither did Eyres who was helping out on the sidelines so Johnston shared the ruck with Deaves. I was impressed with Johnston, don’t think he’s going to be a star but a good size (genuine ruck/KPP)and good work rate and lean and fit.
How the hell Ransted is back and getting a game is beyond me, that says it all about this coach who has no idea. No doubt he will overlook his blunders and give him 3 or 4 games straight up like last year.
Liked the look of new recruits Johnston, Risol and to a lesser extent Rollings and Boyle from last years reserves i think.
If anyone thinks we won’t miss Ross Young and Leon they are kidding themselves. Our midfield will be our weakness i think.
Is Redleg setup the new Yellow Football?
Like the way Pickers talks to the players.
Final score SD 15.11 def P 6.16
Couple of figjams were solid contributors for the black and whites. Lol

Figjams haha whatever you reckon!! It was only a scratch match mate but lets be honest we toyed with you allday and the 16.11 to 6.16 score flattered Perth we should have won by 15 gls, but like i said only a scratchie
That was tongue in cheek Swandog in reference to one particular supporter who labelled those two players figjams. I rate both highly and i know they will embarrass a few people at the PFC for many years to come. Both sides were rusty but Swans showed they had a better system in place. Tony Notte had a day out and did it easy.
I was impressed with No 41 Faulkner and No 22 Aiden Smith.

Fair enough then Johnno, Yep Smith is a real talent and seems willing to learn and Faulky continues to improve. I dont know how the PFC would let Rogers go!! Elari had been wanting to be at SD for a cple of years now and it shows
You’ve said it all Whitey. Haven’t left much for me to say but I will try.
Lacked any focus up forward and insisted on playing wide too often.
The defence and midfield tried hard but Swans’ run thru the corridor too strong.
Johnston played ruck in absence of Murray, Leyendekers and Eyres. He did very well both on the ball and around the ground but we needed him on Notte who had a field day on Kane who is not a KPP.
You didn’t mention Sketcher who can play and will be a good addition to the side.
You also didn’t mention Chance Bateman who showed his class and is far fitter and more focussed than Davis was last year and Moody who is the fittest that he has been since he came to the club.
Players missing today .. Murray, Leyendekers, Eyres, Jacobs, Billings, Ali Smith, Stack, Irons, Donovan
Reimers is not match fit. Arrived in Perth late January and only been training for 3 or 4 weeks. He will need to put some work in on the track in next few weeks. Copped a corky today which slowed him down.
Still, it was only a scratchie and difficult to read a lot into it.
Whitey, I’ve been most concerned that you didn’t have a teams’ lists. I do hope that you were able to find one somehow. Mine arrived by personal email from the club.
Johnston 194cm compared to 200cm Murray and Leyendekers. He was recruited, I believe, as a key defender and did well there last week.
Today, in the absence of the other 2 he rucked all day and did a good job but Lammie took the points on the day.
Good to see you back Jonno, see you are your usual positive self.
No where to be seen, until D’s have a loss, then you come out full of criticism
A. Thought you had given D’s away til Damo was gone.
B. With your analysis today did you not consider we weren’t at full strength, trying blokes out?
C. You sound excited by elari and Rogers doing well against us.
My analysis is
A. You are a wanker
B. You are pathetic
C. See A.
Go away knob, you have spent over a year bagging Damo and the D’s- so be a man of your word and f@vk off!!

No need for that language baseline. So happens that you where not at full strength last week against It’s Only South and this week it is an excuse. Players of Elari and Rodgers abilities are worth more than that person you call a coach. Same coach who seem to rate Mr Williams as one of the most experienced coaches going around in the WAFL . Give credit where it is due 2x WAFL colts premiership coach and current experience of being the last coach sacked at league level. Sorry to repeat my self but you fools just don’t seem to want to smell the roses, super coach is a dud and would not know a footballer or a game plan if he tripped over one. Same rubbish new year. :woohoo:
Same shit different year alright, served up by the Perth FC. The sooner this coach falls on his sword the better things will be for all concerned, mostly the players.
BTB, Baseman is just showing the strain of reality hitting home. No doubt he’s one of the bozos that added the year on.
The excuses are already being rolled out and the season hasn’t even started. Where’s the “Positivity” boys, written on the white board!!
There wasn’t much to get excited about today unfortunately.
Yes I was pleased to see Rogers and Elari do well, two of my favorite “former Perth players”.
