swans for premiers!
With Pratt, Miles, Jacky, Harvey, Van Groningen, Riggio, Robinson, Casserly and Davis all returning next year Plus it looks like that Hansen will go one more year
Mate i heard Wed night that it looks like Hansen wont be going on next year and Harding is looking to play Simmo at Full Forward which im looking forward to..also we are chasing Elari again as Harding is a big fan of his in and under skills and we got smashed inside last season, he wanted to come accross last year
They gonna break the slary cap again?
The salary cap wasnt broken last year!
Bring on 2013 I say boys …on another note hopefully our good friends in Statham, Parker & Parry go around again next year!!
As hard to take as it is, Swans will not win a flag under Harding. He had the team this year but had them knocked out in straight sets.
He was too busy trying to lock himself into a contract before a change in personal on the board.
Yes he received coach of the year but naturally with the $$$ spent to bring in Motlop, Hilderbrant, etc and less injuries and a change in attitude by premiership players the side was always going to return to the top 4.
Unfortunately now with 2 years locked in and a 10% pay rise - and irresponsible spending and lack of financial management, we cant afford to sack Harding.

Interesting comments Kenny but you are way off the mark …missing injured this year for the entire season were- Robinson, Pratt & Miles ..for more than half the season- Jacky, Hansen & Van Gronigen ..injured for the finals were- Riggio & Davis. Take that class of player out of Claremont or East Fremantle & they would have gone out in straight sets ..end of story!
Heaven help us with those guys mate!!
I cant see Swans being major players in 2013.
No Hansen is a huge blow,
Players will be taking pay cuts as well due to financial problems, and they also have to pay a $25,000 fine.
Claremont East Fremantle still up there, big improvers, Subi and South.
Correct Bazza, with new blood on their board, they will no longer get away with throwing around irresponsible dollars to players.
Welcome Kenny as the new resident genius to the forum. Given that you have all the answers I trust that you either ran for a board position or applied for Harding’s position. Swans are in dire need of people with all of the answers both financially and in the football operational area.
I have more knowledge than you think Grassroots.
Let me know if you would like me to start rattling off the items of “illegal” and “improper” activity conducted by people involved in creating the dire position of the club.
Also before anyone starts predicting premierships wait for upcoming announcements on players leaving the club.
Kenny or Smitho67 whatever you current name is, given that you have admitted to being in the know I am perplexed that you did not alert all of us mere mortals as to what has been happening over the last 3 to 4 years. It is obvious that the overspending on players started in or before the club’s premiership year.
Why then were you not on the forum alerting club members as to what was happening with your insider knowledge.
Hidden agenda perhaps?
By the way Kenny I do fully agree with you that premiership talk at this stage in an extremely volatile player market is overly optimistic
It all has come out through proper channels to my knowledge eg. AGM and the secondment of new board members to sought out the mess mid term. Unfortunately arrogance has prevented Harvey from resigning which now means the members have no choice but to sack him.
