Well as predicted Cooked has killed Wafls last big stand alone day.
The WA Foundation Day is gone…moved to November and now the June Kings Birthday long weekend will be the same as AFL block.buster day. Don’t be surprised if Dockers and Eagles are already planning a game Optus the same day.
Not sure why we need two extra public holidays for? And 3 existing are changing dates. Seems strange. Comes into effect in twenty twenty eight according to reports.
Whole things a joke, just to bring us in line with the AFL Kings Birthday Longweeked, I would have no doubt that the AFL and dockers and eagles have been pushing for this behind the scenes …it stinks big time!
You clearly have no interest in the WAFL if you think this doesn’t detract from the comp in general. Just because your club doesn’t play on Foundation Day doesn’t mean this isn’t bad for the Comp which is clearly is.
My argument is not with extra public holidays I couldn’t care less about them …my concern is the damage it does to WAFLs unique fixture which draws the biggest crowds of the year consistently which is to the benefit of the entire comp.
All I see is a bitter and twisted Swans supporter who’s so insecure about his club that he can’t see the broader picture here either that or a Labor drone that just agrees with everything they do.
ABC spoke about this extensively today and how damaging it was for the comp.
But yeah you go ahead a celebrate another blow to WAFL.
