Stan subscription service

When I switched to Optus with a new phone just over a year ago I could subscribe to Optus Sport for just $6.95 or something like that which gave you full acces to the EPL and other leagues. Now Optus Sport is no more and they send you to Stan which costs a minimum of $37 HD or $42 UHD.

They’ve basically set it up like Foxtel where you have to subscribe to their basic Stan package, $17 HD or $22 UHD then have to pay an extra $20 for Stan Sport. Well fuck you Stan.

If you want to watch the Glory you need Paramount+. $10.99 HD or $13.99 UHD. If you use Optus Subhub can earn discounts by subscribing to a few services.

I’ll settle for watching how Nottingham Forest is going on YouTube.

IPTV is what you want RnB

Is that one of those things where you have to go through a lot of steps going into developer mode on your TV and buying a fire stick from Amazon?

developer mode is tapping about in the menu 8 times.

You can then install an app which is an IPTV service and for about $100 enjoy bucket loads of content

Do I need to buy a firestick first from Amazon? I’ve got Google Chromecast on an older tv and nothing on a Sony Bravia Chrome tv.

i’ll message you

Agree mate, I am in same boat and its a really Shitehouse deal and set up, and the coverage is not as good as Optus, they have that former socceroo halfwit from SBS back on the commentary panel.

I find it hard to navigate compared to Optus sport and they do not have the good highlights packages and goals.

Also I do not want a heap of Stan Crapola - like you say the extra Stan TV shows etc are now needed , had a look mainly rubbish.

Its a heap more pricey.

Surpised ACCC have not looked at it as consumers went in to Optus with 2 -3 years still to run.

message me as well.

Sounds a lot like when the A League was dumped by Kayo and they switched to Paramount+. An absolutely crap service. Can’t watch games from the start if you missed the start, pre game and post game coverage is almost non existent unless you are one of the “Big Blue” teams. Such an eastern states biased comp and media biased.

Can’t see Glory making much improvement they just aren’t a destination club.

Red

Optus pioneered the mini match, and they also had full replays, quick highlights for every game and then a special package of every goal overnight.

If you had a fetch box it was just like flicking to a normal channel to watch a live game no need to navigate to a App set up.

It was also free of Craig Foster and their panel shows were all UK based and far more professional.
