Sri Lanka v Australia Tour

One nil down and 8 for 85 in the second test staring down the barrel of a series defeat against the seventh ranked test nation, eight New South Welshmen in the team ffs can’t have Nevill coming in at seven he isn’t a good enough batsman. He’s not the only one though the other batsmen a frauds away from home, dare I say it S.Marsh would have to come in next test at least he’s made a test hundred in the sub continent.

For a start, this series shouldn’t even be playing this series during Sri Lanka’s Minsoon season.

Even so,with all the Rain disruptions,we are still getting our tails kicked!

Heads should Roll for this!ON and OFF the Field!

I’ll settle for JAMES SUTHERLAND’S!

Resign you Mug! :woohoo:

All out for 106 first wicket to a rank long hop second ball of the over to a seamer,
next nine wickets shared by the spinners, yep let’s keep producing flat tracks on our home soil .

Flat tracks?

Nooooooo,never!

Cricket Australia wouldn’t stand for that, surely? B)

Everyone likes the stroke players that entertain us all during our summer. But the side doesnt seem to have a Mark Taylor,Steve Waugh,David Boon.Players that can build an innings be patient wait for the bad ball and not surrender there wicket. One of the reasons we have lost so badly our last few tours of England. Not just found wanting on slow turning decks but also the swinging duke cricket ball in northern England.

Nobody can be suprised at this; the only batsman they have is Smith himself, the rest can’t play. Cheer up though, England’s middle order is the worst I have seen represent the country, which, re-enforced by their determination to play Hales, leaves them with just Cook and Root.

Ark..England allways been vunrable to good spin bowling.Leg spinners in particular. That memorable series in 2005 when the Poms broke there big Ashes drought. They played Australia off the park but Warney kept us in the contest.
Then the next Ashes the Adelaide test.We got 600 they got 500 with Collingwood getting a big score. They day 5 Warney done it again.Cant believe we dont try and produce more leg spinners given they seem quiet handy in big bash.

Other than Mitchell Starc the rest should be forced to hand back their payments for this Sri Lankan tour.
Our batting in both Tests so far has been nothing short of a disgrace, no digging in whatsoever just trying to bash the Sri Lankan spinners out of the park to great effect. :S
And John Holland would have to be in the Australian First XI for one of the worst Test Cricketers I have ever seen joining other such luminaries such as Wayne N Phillips (the Vic opener not the SA left hander batsman/keeper), Robbie Kerr, Shaun Young, Greg Dyer, Murray Bennett, Greame Beard, Graham Manou, Simon Davis, Trevor Laughlin & Bryce McGain!

Rob Quiney must of been stiff!

Making a great fist of it in the second dig already In trouble 3 for 10.

Just fkn diabolical, panicked batting. Just keep preparing those roads at home, she’ll be right.

Very stiff Dazz, only because I have tried to forget he was ever selected mostly because of a very large push from his Vic mate S.K Warne!

gtrxuone Your right, the English have trouble playing leg spinners, although I suppose it was understandable they had trouble with Warne; in fairness too, the Pakistan fellow has bowlled well, particularlly in the Lord’s test. On the question of leg spinners, I can’t fathom why England will not play Rashid in test matches. They will not retain the Ashes if they don’t play him out here.

Quicklly on Australian leg spinners, why have they not flown out Zampa-- I think that is his name – out to Ceylon? On the face of it, it is no disgrace getting bowlled out by Heruth in his own conditions, but, as others have statted there is no excuse for a lack of technique and bottle with the bat.

Kim Hughes only lost 2-0 in india out of six tests in 1979, even with a rubbish side.

Who was the player that played the test down in Tassie.Mark Waugh in the slips said to Shane Warne.Heard on microphone, , (cant bowl, cant bat, cant field).

Andrew Muller.

Thanks Peter.

Good ol Joe the Cameraman took the heat for that one!

Starc must be scratching his head. 11 for 94 in the match and Australia still looks like it will be beaten by 200 runs plus, such is the incompetence of the batting.
