SFFC v WPFC Preliminary Final Fremantle Oval

Gee, here were are lunch time Friday on the even of the Grand Final team decider and not a single post or thread.

Not much hype with this one sadly.

What do South fans think, ..(the few that are left on this site sadly dwert has left us)??
will be a repeat of the last time we meet or much closer???

Only because who ever wins this game is gonna be $ubis lap dog the following week, that’s why there is no hype to this game or season really., unfortunately

Yeah Falcon, that’s defo the reason I reckon as well.

Tossed the towel in early. Flying the white flag.
Never ever thought I would see such a weak response from alleged South’s supporters.
On the day any thing can happen. South’s have Subi a scare last week.
I bet the boys themselves believe.
Extraordinary.

But for the players it would be cool to play in a GF being the last game of the year and also playing at the new stadium would be a cool thing for them, and you never know you gotta be in it to win it..good luck!

Exactly a/man. Souths came very close without their number 1 ruckman and down a rotation for most of the game. Subi don’t seem to switch on straight away after a bye and with only one game in a month under their belts anything could happen.

After last weekends’ tango it is known what is required & some - but it’s a different opposition now who had a good win themselves
Being direct there’s a great possibility of this season being the last good chance at the silver for a while given the amount of AFL interest around several players in the team , we may be decimated
So for this week it’s the old Perth traditional rivalry in the shape of the Cardinals

Spot on, coupled with the fact it is on TV, the punters will kick back at home.

Bingo Falcon, there has been a number of undefeated sides already beaten on GF day across the Country and Amateur Leagues so you never know. Everyone is expecting South to win this one so WP have nothing to lose tbh.

Disappointing way to send out Hamsy & possibly a few more today - West Perth thoroughly deserved to win and we go out in the Preliminary again.
Congratulations to the Cardinals - hope you guys take it to Subiaco next week

Wow

Where to start? What a disgusting pathetic limp wristed display

Make no mistake last time we will be in the finals for some time now, I see mass exodus now Pickett, hams, cooks to start …no balls at all turned up expecting to win

Curley game plan & planning must be questioned ? No plan but let’s play like last week with no plan b c or d

Hamsy - ur team mates should be utterly ashamed of the way performed to send u out on a losing note

Take a hard look SF now & over the summer

Disappointing end to what was otherwise a very good season for Souths. Well done Ashton on a terrific footy career.

Obviously very frustrating for you SF fans going out again in the prelim…on paper SF look the best bet to knock over Subi next week, but WP character has dragged the club into next week as it has all year…never easy getting pipped at the post…let alone for the 3rd time…enjoy your summer boys

Absolutely piss weak today particularly the first half which
Did the damage after that it was catch up footy all day, looked flat from
The outset , had some periods in second half to make an impact only to blow them
By kicking a mountain of points , that’s in another season over , not sure where too now Curley era might be coming to an end , expect a few retirements and deapartures as well.

Only positive I can see is we won’t lose a dead rubber GF.

That’s it for me as far wafl goes 2018.

And yet they played so well against Subiaco last week Bazza. I couldn’t believe I was watching the same team. West Perth got 12 of their 15 goals from direct turnovers from their opponents, a staggering statistic. Maybe they just assumed they were going to roll over the Falcons as they had 9 times in a row and they didnt expect the level of intensity that West Perth brought to the game.

Glad to hear it

3 Prelim losses in a row is nightmare stuff. Well done Falcons

Bazza,

That was the other .96c you copped yesterday mate
