serves and Colts playing record

Over the last fortnight I’ve been working on compiling the playing totals for each club in the Reserves and Colts competitions. The details have been taken from the ladder after the last game of the qualifying rounds, with finals results added in for the teams that finished in the top four.
The reserves totals date back to 1946, and the colts start from 1957. I would have liked to include the B Grade competition which ran form 1921 to 1940, but there are too many scores missing from that year to be able to include those details.

There are some milestones coming up for some of the clubs in both competitions. In the Reserves, Perth need another 8 wins to make it 800 in that grade, while Swan Districts need one more to register 700 Reserves wins. 5 more losses for East Perth will take their total to 700. Perth also need 3 more games to reach the 1500 total in the Reserves competition. Round 19 will see South Fremantle play their 1500th Reserves game, and Claremont play their 1500th Reserves game in round 21.
In the colts, Claremont’s next win will be their 800th. West Perth’s win against Swan Districts on the Anzac Day round of fixtures was their 500th, while 4 more losses for East Fremantle will take their total to 500.

Mate you could talk to Ric at WAFLFOOTYFACTS at

Pretty sure he deals with League only and that would be a huge task on its own.
Not real sure what your after but appears you are after Reserves and Colts milestones etc. Phew that would be a big task but you seem to have some at hand
WAFL website is the only site with any substantial info on early years but as you say stats etc disappear from the earlier games or they were not record on a computer.

Found Sporting Pulse website but that is only recent stuff

All the best in your endeavour

Gday cardy. I’m not after player milestones for the lower grades as that would be close to impossible to track down. At the moment, the club playing records are a good place to start.
Eventually. I would like to do club records against other teams, as well as scores and goal kickers for both the reserves and colts. I’d hate to think how long it would take, but the lower grades records should be recorded. I’m concentrating on Sunday football this year, but will get back into the WAFL records next year, including resuming scanning the Budgets from 1987 onwards. I’d love to do club annual reports as well, bug that is still a few years off.
