Bastille Day celebrations were just disrupted at Nice, Southern France when a truck ploughed through innocent bystanders. Possibility over 40 dead.. Is Pauline Hansen right?
Don’t know about our Muslim population, but it’s another attack by another 1st Class Arsehole(pardon me Mr Owner).A few idiots aside like Monis,I’d like to think most Muslims appreciate what they have here and are prepared to live a peaceful life in Australia.
Though often, you just wonder if they do.They must do more to change that perception. Many are,but as difficult as it seems, they have to do even more to open our eyes, minds and hearts.
A friend of mine at work has family in France.Hope any in Nice are all Safe.
Just wondering if the French have a Robespierre appreciation society. Not approving revenge attacks, but if they do,the Islamic Community there had better lock themselves inside for a few months, knowing the reputation Robespierre had.
Islamic Fanatics living abroad and Overseas have no idea how much peril they put ordinary Muslims in,nor do they care. And they are Self Serving Cowards. If they are that cheesed off with Western Foreign Policy and that bloody minded to do what they do,have they got the guts to take on Military Targets?
No.They are not soldier’s bootlaces,just depraved Idiots!
The religion of peace lol, no doubt the left will find some way to spin this terrorist attack by this homophobic so called religion.
I’m a Leftie,but we bloody well shouldn’t.
Mind you,I’m hard left. Can we put these fanatics in Siberia,or Cuba’s worst Lockups?
Or that fictional Klingon Penetentiary,Ura Pente?
Truly horrible event in Nice on Frances national holiday.
The police and security forces now have a new security threat to deal with. Not a bomb or a gun but a truck.Guns where found in the cabin.
Recent polling in France has showed the French want out of the European Union. If you can’t secure your borders how can you stop these acts of terrorism.
As shocking as Nice and all the other atrocities committed in the name of religion continues to be, the great divide between Sunnis and Shi’ite will see 1000 Muslims die for every Westerner. Interesting expose on 4 Corners the other night where a Muslim journalist went under cover with a supposed terrorist cell in France. His overwhelming opinion was that these idiots are angry with the world in general and use religion as an excuse. I’m not sure what the answer is other than maybe cordon off the middle east and let no one in or out and let them kill each other and neutralise sleeper cells in the west as they pop up. One thing is for sure…it’s only going to get worse before it gets better and that it will happen here big time before much longer.
Agreed, but we all prey it does not.
Absolute gutless low life filth can carry out such an act of this kind. This is not the time for political leaders to roll out the usual diplomatic condemnation. It is time to come to grips with reality here. As a mate of mine puts it. Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims. And Western societies must protect themselves from this religion that breeds hate and promotes themselves as being superior to anyone who doesn’t share their warped ideology.
Brexit is just the beginning. Thank you UK for kicking things off in the right direction.
Horrible thought just entered my mind.
Who’s the bigger threat to the World Right Now?
IS and Fundamentalist Islam?
Or Bullying,Monstering,threatening Expansionist China?
Great outlook,eh?
To the Premier if China?
How 'bout building your Artificial Islands in the Persian Gulf or near North Korea?
Grassy their is one way to fix China and put them in their place but Western civilizations like ours are too greedy to buy into it. STOP BUYING AND TRADING WITH CHINA and ban Chinese investors in Australian property and resources. Make them come to OUR NEGOTIATION TABLE!
Stop exporting our beautiful beef and milk and seafood and other fresh produce that the Chinese have developed an appreciation for.
Other Asian markets like South Korea and Japan will happily pick up the slack and I am prepared to pay more for my electrical goods.
Fair points there,DD.

so you’d put thousands of Aussie jobs and businesses to the sword just because you don’t like China? China is our largest trading partner…in 2014 we traded well over $160 billion with China…Japan is at number 2 with less than half that amount. we export more than twice as much to China than we import from them…so what does that tell you? it tells me that if we put our relationship with China at risk, we’ll be the losers and not China…source DFAT…FMD.
With all the business they do,why do they see the need to escalate tensions, when their Navy can travel at will through the South China Sea anyway?
Just proves again that there’s too many idiots in the world.
Apparently the truck, loaded with grenades drove through the barricades and then straight into the crowd at about 60 to 70 km/h. All this happens on Frances National Day to maximise the impact. The exact nature of the attack is unclear. The latest count is at least 80 people (including children) have been killed.
A senseless waste.

BC I think time for you to change your avatar mate. The Dahli Lamar would be disappointed in you.
Narrow focus mate, short term pain for long term gain. We would see a return to real manufacturing in Australia and real jobs and pathways for mums and dads and their kids, the price of beef and fruit and vegetables would plummet more than making up for the extra we would have to shell out for electrical goods.
Or go your way and continue to be China’s bitch. If we don’t join the US and other allies and take a stand it won’t be long before they take over the whole of South East Asia and are right on our doorstep. Just look at the roof panel fiasco in the new Perth children’s hospital. They know asbestos is banned on building products but you can’t trust those bastards.
I’ve come to the conclusion DD that you live in a parallel universe to the rest of us…the $100 billion trade surplus we currently have with China would be replaced with what? Australia has a market of 25 million people and China has 1.3 billion…am I sensing that we would struggle to cover our losses if our trade with China went pear shaped? silly me…why am I trying to make valid points on basic economics 101 with someone who has no idea?
Whats Anne Aly going to say about this?
Hope all that voted for her, push her to the front to condemn this action.
Whether she does or doesn’t Devonleigh(and she should),I must ask if anyone knows what Luke Simpkins said over 9 years as the MHR for Cowan?
Hold on a sec,if I read the Sunday Times forum right,he helped out a Junior Footy Club,…
Applause,applause! B)
I have made my views clear on her before about the Muslim problem so I will not repeat myself over again. In terms of the China trade and the Sprately Islands, it will come down to military muscle in the end. The peace neck is leaving office soon in Washington and there will be a totally new dynamic. If they blockade local or Western shipping in the future, the blockade should be broken by force; it is a very simple game, one winner at the end and it will not be China.

Oh, and you speak for “the rest of us”? How arrogant of you. Maybe you get that arrogance from fluffy Malcolm. When you can’t handle a different point of view that person" has no idea " it seems. Lol
Take your rose coloured glasses off BC unemployment is on the rise while manufacturing has disappeared by the day because companies have gone the cheap and nasty route and sent manufacturing to China. Do I have to explain the flow on effects on the economy? Why bother with someone who has no idea! Since record trade with China we have never been in more debt
