Season all but over

Didn’t make the trip up but talking to a few of the players tonight we just didn’t have the run in the legs to match a determined Perth team.

Well done to the Demons.

With games against SF and WP in the next 2 weeks making finals looks all but over. Hopefully Perth can win a final or 2.

Sorry RD I am not sure I understand.
I believe you had 14 Dockers in the side (not 100% on that)..
Those players came up with “didn’t have the run in the legs?”
You are kidding me aren’t you.
The thing I am proudest most is that this young side has beaten a side twice this year and that side has been laden with professional footballers.

Please try to come up with something honest, don’t bury your head in the sand.

Not bad for a young inexperienced team of amateurs.

Well done DEES.

They had 11 Freo listed players.

Thanks Roman.
If my maths are correct.
That may be 11 more professional footballers than the DEES had.

No excuses for Peel. They did not have the same appetite for the fight.
11 AFL listed players supplemented by players who regularly train with the Dockers have no excuse for no run in the legs and for no willingness to match Perth’s fight.
The Dockers team of 20 or 30 working on the video had more fight in them than the Thunderboxes.

I’m not sure what you’re asking me DF. As I said I wasn’t there. Why do you think Perth won the last quarter by around 4 goals?

RD what we are saying is not that Peel ran out of legs. If that was the case it is a sad indictment on the fitness of professional players.
What actually happened was your players relinquishing the appetite for the contest. A sad indictment again.

That may or may not have been the case. But think about it… do you really think a player would actually say they lost the appetite to another player or supporter. All I posted was what I was told. Given the Apeness injury we were down on rotations and coming off a slog against Subi so I can see both views could be aired whether they are right or wrong.

Finals door slightly ajar. Tough trip to Joondalup next. In a scrappy game I thought we made the most of our opportunities for once.
