Surprised to read in the Worst Elijah Taylor will play. Don’t think he has trained with the main group, only the rehab group or not at all from what I could gather. Maybe he’ll play ressies. Both sides will probably have 8 - 10 on the bench. It’s going to be more like Perth v Fremantle with 13 Dockers players set to play.

The list PFC sent out had 10. Taylor but not 22. Taylor. I don’t get the West and wonder if they assumed it was E. Taylornot M. Taylor.

Matt Taylor named in the main game.
E Taylor must be playing in the reserves game.
Not unhappy with so many Freo players in.
Freo have some injuries so second tier Freo players don’t scare me.
We have to learn to play with it and win.
Looking forward to seeing such a large influx, our depth definitely improved.
And to see Hunter Bird and La Fontaine.
PD sadly The West doesn’t have a journalist that would know anything about football let alone WAFL.
Their main concern appears to be AFLW.
Which I have a view about.
It is difficult to predict but our starting line-up on Round 1 will most likely comprise the most of those named in the main game for today.
The following players named in ressies today or not available to play appear to be the most likely to challenge for Round 1.
Regan Clark, Brant College, Mitchell Brown, Kristan Cary, Elijah Taylor, Sam Stubbs, Mitch Henderson, Zac Meloncelli.
The odd player or so listed for ressies may interchange with some from the main group.
Next week will give us a better idea with the Season Launch & Jumper Presentation that night.
Agree DF. The stronger the Peel side is the better we will learn about where we are at.
My god that was a trouncing today. Final score 15.10 to 7.4. Peel had 13 Fremantle players including Nathan Wilson, Connor Blakely, Travis Colyer, Stefan Giro, Sam Switowski etc… and their younger players are very very good and quick and clean.
A dirty day all round. Jack Richardson taken off on a stretcher midway through the 2nd qtr off the ball. Benjamin Hancock is in a fair bit of trouble I’d say. Richardson had to be taken away in an ambulance at half time. Hope you are ok Richo.
Brady Grey also came off in the first qtr never to return with a head knock. Fremantle were just too quick and clean. For us I thought of the new recruits Doulton Langlands stood out. , Oscar Bird did a couple of good things early.
Jayden Hunter got better as the day wore on, Connor McPartland played mainly as a forward and got a couple of late goals. Nicholas and Sinclair very good down back but always under the pump. Nyika John played the second half and looks like this kid belongs. Raking kick left or right foot.
College and Fisher didn’t play, I think they will play next week.

I’m not going to read too much into a pre-season game, though it is a concern that we had close to what I would regard as a full strength team there. The other worry is only kicking 7 goals - the ability to kick a winning score is likely to be our achilles heel all season. Let’s hope it was just a case of blowing off the cobwebs. I’d like to see us go into the season with a bit of confidence from the next couple of pre-season games.
The shining light out of this game was Connor McPartland. He kicked an early one and a late couple. He goes hard and laid a few great tackles on big boys. Kasey Nich continues to impress and to be fair was the pick of the defenders. Actually I though most of the defenders did a great job. Freo won easily on rebound with speed cutting inboard through the middle of the ground. They were quick and clean, where we scrambled and rushed disposals all day.
To the demon’s supporter abusing number 12 from Peel in the stands - well done.

You have got to be joking? That bloke is an absolute fruit loop and you know who he is. He is an embarrassment to Perth supporters. He is lucky Perth president Bob Shields tapped him on the shoulder to tell him to settle down before either he was escorted out of the ground or worse and his reaction toward the president was don’t touch me. There is a way to go about it, that was not the right way.
There were two cameras at the ground I heard so No 12 will be accountable for his actions.
No he won’t.
Dorkers did the camera work they will do nothing.
It must have been a dog act.
I saw them wrestling on the ground.
Then the bloke on top runs away and the injured party is sent to hospital.
Someone suggested that a knee was involved.
Pity the nerdish looking pretty boy boundary umpire that was standing not far away didn’t do anything.
Absolutely disgraceful.
And what about the dangerous tackle that saw Brady Grey miss most of the match?
We are still soft.
A couple of enforcers are needed in the side.
It was left to Connor McPartland as the only respondent.
Perth do have a supporter that regularly calls umpires c—'s, maggots and cheats. He even occasionally tells them he is going to kill them. None of this helps our cause on the day and in fact does the opposite.
It would be great if someone with authority could have a word to him. I certainly don’t want him banished because the club means a lot to him as it does all of us. But …
Freo getting ready for round one next week and understandably went in fiercely. Perth you would imaging easing in as their fist game 3 weeks away.

It won’t be up to Fremantle. They will be compelled to hand over vision to the tribunal.
What Tribunal he wasn’t reported?
The WAFL have no reason to investigate unless there is a complaint from the Club.

It wasn’t the twin.
It was someone else and he doesn’t threaten to harm anyone.

Ok no worries I bow to you the guru. There will be no investigation despite the fact it took 10 minutes to get Richardson off the ground and half an hour for the ambulance paramedics to get him out of the changerooms on a stretcher into the ambulance with his head and neck immobilized.
As I said we need enforcers prepared to discretly run through blokes like this.
We need to shrug off the soft tag.
Expect the same next week.
Because dick head coach will want to show us how good he is.
