Scratch Match Squads

I think DF arrogance is the problem here…understand what Smokey is saying tho, love his passion and agree with him, can’t keep looking back…it aint productive…can only look ahead!..

though comments like that from DF open the doors for folk to have a pop smokey…you either need to ignore outside pops or have a quiet PM to DF to pull his head in…but then again I admire DF for putting his chin out there willing to get it hit…no point hiding in the shadows and then coming out when it’s safe…

quite suprised Perth lost that game then carbine, especially if most of SF fans went home at 3/4 time!!..what motivated SF to win then?..or what motivated Perth to lose then?..surely the WAFL crowd numbers aren’t big enough to give the Perth players stage fright?..

Its a scratchie for goodness sakes. Who cares!!!

I guess when you are zero and 35 TF, every game of footy counts…christ even us EF boys at zero and 14 are getting edgy!!

After 5 months off this was bound to happen as the first games drew near. Passion for wafl footy by the looks of no matter who is playing.

Can’t wait for the season banter. Remember this is 3 websites in one now and some new rivalries off the field are already developing!

Yes it has been a while Freeze. Too long.

And the relevance is BTB ???
There is not a Perth supporter who has forgotten that game but there are many who have moved on rather than dwell in the

The past isn’t worth talking about because it’s been unsuccessful,

Which well know and successful coach made this comment. I personally would have to disagree as how can you correct your failings if you are not willing to talk about them. Burying your head in the sand will not correct old mistakes smoker. I think it is time to smell the roses and take ownership of the clubs failings fellas! :woohoo:

I think it’s time for to go off to Peel where your future lies Mr Duffy.

Some promising signs in the scratchie today against SF. Thought Risol looked good, took some good grabs, Daniel Murray looks like a good pick up and so does Jackson Sketcher who did some good things.

Well, I’ll tell you what.

I’m not getting carried away after the win.

After all it was only South.

And just a scratchie.

Yes for mine Murray was our best today, by all accounts Leyendekkers is a good ruckman as well, so i dont know where Eyres fits in imo hasn’t got the height to be a genuine ruckman.

Yes liked the look of all of the recruits.

Particularly the effort of that young bloke No: 3. Looks like a good prospect.

Now that’s what an ex AFL player coming back looks like. Fully committed and his leadership will be very valuable.

Yes liked the look of Murray, Risol & Skethcher grew on me as the day went on.

Some one was saying Murray has taken off 10kls since joining us.

Murray best on ground by a mile for me, great performance.
Encouraging signs from recruits and youngsters, and good to see our AFL boys in attendance.

Murray has taken me by surprise. I agree he was close to best on ground today. He is a good man but I like his mobility and he seems to have reasonable skills as well. I think he is a great pick up.

Sketcher looks like he is hard at it started slowly but I like what I saw in the end.

Risol is real good size and is versatile by the look of it. Spent time up forward as well as down back.

And Chance, well what do say about him. Any doubters need to have a good look at him even at 32 he will play a big part in the midfield.

Moody, isn’t he looking fit & trim, fittest I have seen him. I think he will also play a big role in the midfield.

And welcome back O’Sullivan looking fit and well and getting back to his best, hope he has an injury free year.

All in all a very encouraging hit out.

make sure u hang ur hat on that win v our combo of colts & ressies… wont b 2 many wins 2 follow 4 ur boys

Don’t think anyone was hanging their hat on today’s win bulldog breath, think general opinion was it was an encouraging performance from our boys minus probably ten of our first picked.

Sounds like you may be the nervous one about the season coming.
