Sandover Medal

I think they have been counted but are not announced until the Sandover Medal count. Usually during a break in proceedings. My tip for tonight is Jai Bolton with Horsley a close 2nd.

Looks like a two Horse(ly) race at the end of 10 rounds with Jai Bolton narrowly in front of the Subiaco champ.

Horsley 37, Bolton 36, Mitchell 26, Delahunty 25 and Leggett 23 are the top five after round 15. Delahunty and Leggett having a purple patch between rounds 11-15.

Bolton 44, Horsley 42, Delahunty 34, Nelson 32, Black 31, Meadows 27, Mitchell 26, Deluca 25.

Big mover was Nelson who polled 12 votes from a maximum of 20. With only two round to go its down to Bolton, Horsley or Delahunty.

I reckon Bolton was BOG in Claremonts last game v Swans. If not 5 he will certainly pick up 3 or 4. Not sure how he went in the previous game v Peel.

Liam Hickmott won the Jack Clarke and the coaches award and Dan Leach won the Prendergast…go the mighty Lions!!!

Congratulations Jai Bolton for his 2nd medal in 3 years

Well done Jye Bolton. Two Sandovers in three years, surely he is worth a rookie spot on an AFL list.

…And a HUGE thank-you to SportFM. We’d be totally stuffed without them supporting the Wafl.

Amen to that WAG!!!

Congrats to Bolton…a worthy winner. I thought when Horsley was trailing at the half way mark he was going to struggle and that’s the way it turned out. But you can’t argue with the eventual winner as he’s a very good player. At 26 he’s probably missed his chance at the next level but is certainly killing it in the WAFL.

…and Schoey the best coaches award…now for the big one Sunday…bring it on.

You were certainly on the money, Mike - if you invested on the quinella.

Bolton always played well against us this year.Would be better then some of the eagles midifieldfers that were playing at east perth this year.

Tony Mc said after the Sandover had finished on 91.3.When Claremont played Peel that Bolton looked better than most the Dockers ressies playing.
