Former Docker Sam Collins, has been selected by the Suns as a priority pick from the second tier competitions.
Collins played 14 games with Fremantle, but failed to nail down a spot in the side.
He has blown apart the VFL with his intercept marking.Has been likened to Jeremy McGovern.A huge wrap, but not sure Collins will have the same effect at AFL level.
The VFL is a far cry from the AFL.They wont even play interstate matches any more.
I wish him well, but from memory of what I saw, he was a lumbering slow key back man.A good mark, but not an exceptional mark.
Going to be interesting to see how he goes.
The reason Fremantle let him go was his decision making and disposal wasn’t up to AFL standard.
Does read the play well and has good hands and hopefully he can make a good fist of his second chance
