Westies have gone over their salary cap, North and Norwood rumoured to have also.
Does that make the mighty mighty CDFC the TRUE winners of the 2012 season?

Norwood totally disputing the rumour (which was on ADL radio Wed evening)and have called in the lawyers.

SANFL clubs Port Adelaide and West Adelaide have been charged with breaching salary caps last season.

The league’s Salary Cap Auditor has found the Bloods breached the cap by more than $38,000 and the Port Magpies were nearly $20,000 over.

Both clubs could face fines of $50,000 and other penalties.

They have two weeks to respond to the charges.
A statement from Port said accidental allocations and paperwork errors were only discovered at the end of the season.

With Port getting a fine for going over the salary cap, means their fans have no right to have a go at Adelaide.

Salary cap breaches happen everywhere. You only have to listen to the radio to hear about brown paper bags swapping hands at Macca’s carparks with the NRL… I’m sure it happens… Clubs need to get smart about how they do it.

Look at Chris Judd and his Visy contract…

How did Mark Gaznier get under the cap for St. George the other year with the calibre of players the Dragons had?

Maybe they need to revise caps if its constantly being breached - no matter what code / league.
