I like Mayo on a wing, so hard to match up on, big mobile, he will cause some headaches.
Our 3 talls it you call Sok a tall, up forward are all in some form so that will stretch Souths backline.
Sowfs have been competitive in games but seem to drop off at times, bit like us last week, they are a far better unit than WCER.

Mayo a good match up for Strom on a wing , both similar types of players, surprised to see Ash on bench with Hitchcock on the other wing. Thought Ash was good last week. Danger game this one as we were average last week after the bye and need to be better this week down at the port. Is Tholstrup injured at the moment or unavailable for other reasons?

This is a must win if we want to finish top 3 and get the double chance as EF will be very tough in the last game of the year.

I also see where Kitch is listed as an out which won’t make beating Souths any easier.

Coming back from an arm or shoulder injury. Alone is also on the mend and back in training, Heal and Locks playing ressies this week, so a few on the way back which makes for a good but tough time for the selectors with 2 games to go before finals.

Well done lads for putting on a bit of a display.

Didn’t get to the game today as I watched the young bloke play in an ammos C1 elimination final so appreciate any write ups on the game. Looking at the result, how good is young Kentfield going to be when he can have a huge impact when only 17 years of age?

We were saying the same thing bc. Hard to believe he won’t get drafted. Special k that is. Schofield equally impressive. He might get drafted too, imo. Gus was outstanding. So was Zac. But souths kids were very promising. Pacy.

Our forward line leaves me scratching my head. Loaded with talent but it just doesn’t seem to be working.

They generated a lot of shots on goal. The grounds are pretty cut up now, so it’s difficult to get a shot on target. Sokal and borch are not owning the air. Special K is looking more dangerous when a long kick comes in. He looks like a Darling type player to me.

Agree, the surface down at Freo looked very shifty, so many players lost their footing, Leedo is not much better. Would be nice to play on surfaces like at Lathlain which are AFL bowling greens, but then not every club is associated with an AFL club.
