I’ve noticed on Footygoss Ron Head has gone to a lot of trouble with his articles. It will be a shame if they all simply disappear come 2013.
Can anyone, or (Ron himself) shed any light on these articles? if they belong to Ron, would it be worth achiving them here for future reference, or do they belong to footygoss?
I would be happy to host this work here if its possible.

Mike they are all Rons work.He owns them,he has done the ring rounds and talked to the players.
I am sure if you got in touch with him via the PMs on Footygoss he would be more than happy to chat to you about them.I am in touch with him on a reasonably regular basis,and I know he loves the articles he has written.So maybe a twist of the arm and he may be willing to talk to you about them.
I know he looks in here to see what is going on.
Whats his handle on FG? I think most of appreciate his work.

Ill send you the one i did for FG on Paul Vasoli Mike to get the ball rolling..i will be interviewing Kevin Taylor sometime in the new Year too as he has just been appointed the Gosnells league coach and im close to people who run the club, im also targetting a few more like Tony Solin who is a family friend (although he is in a tight spot at the moment it seems in regards to the Peel health campus with another target of mine Jon Fogarty), Chris Pobjoy also expressed interest in doing an interview, and Vasoli told me he would put me in touch with others as well..whats the email address i send it to?
In between work and family there are a couple of us who are keen to do a few interviews and i reckon most the Gossers and Ozfooty posters would have contact with ex or current WAFL players and other sportspeople too

George was going to speak to a few others, or has done with regards to articles. I am happy to go down this track with OzFooty, providing everyone realises that its non profit, and community driven.
If you have articles that you would like inclued on the site, send them through to admin @ ozfooty . net and will get them display over the next couple of days.

Trying to figure out how to PM Ron Head on FG?

I went onto the FootyGoss and the PM’s dont seem to be working. I couldnt find anywhere to send one now. Used to use them a lot.
I know Ron was moving east so most probably gone now but he did tell me he was going to continue on the Goss from over there as he loves his WAFL.
I would say looking at the Goss now he has given up on that idea.
I did have his telephone number but cant find it at the moment 
but will keep looking.
He has all his stories on disc so wouldnt of been hard for him to repost them on here.
I am sure Ron will drop in and have a look on here when he gets time and contact you on admin@ozfooty.net
I am sure he would not mind if you copied a couple over from the Goss. Sure there would be nothing illegal in that?

I am impressed so far with how the site is going.It is certaqinly at this tage taking the place of Footygoss. Most of the regular posters are here and more coming over all the time.
Mike I have some old photos from the Western Mail I think it was,I will see if I can copy them and send them to you to post on here.They are ancient ones,a bit like me.
I have hundreds of WAFL Newspaper photos that i have downloaded from the old Weekend News wrap and Daily News from a work in progress project of mine in gathering pics that appeared in the paper between 1975 and 1985 and my grand plan if i ever get around to it is to collate them into a picture book almost like a scrap book that can sit on someones coffee table, or most prob Just my coffee table, these are the years i am most facsinated with, ive worked through 1976 and 77 so far with bits and bobs from other years. I regularly visit the Battye library and trawl through on microfilm and it literally takes hours and hours,sometimes the quality isnt great as they are the actual newspaper pics ill try send some to you Mike and maybe put some up or ill post them on a thread

Ron tried to call me yesterday (my wife answered), but I wasn’t home from work. By the time I returned his call, he was out, so I’ll try again over the weekend.
As for pictures and video’s, I’ve got some ideas brewing… I’ll have a look at some website extensions that are available to see what we can do with regards to making the pictures and video’s as features rather than being lost in threads.
The software I am using to power the website is flexible enough to allow moderators or contributors to add to the website other than just in the forums.
This may need to be done in the new year though, as I still have a few other things that require tweaking on the website, plus balancing work and family life this time of the year.
I’m open to ideas…

Yeh maybe pics Mike but as I said on the WPFC thread under FootyGoss flashbacks there are a couple of sites already with huge collections of video’s. Maybe put a link on this site to those two sites for starters as the WAFL Archives site deserves a bit of support and they have endeavoured to put all WAFL footage they have plus contributions so if you start the vides we have a bit of double handling
