Sad news Bazza and Bill played a little bit before my time, but i’ve noticed he was a premiership team mate of the recently departed Tony '‘Monty’'Bellos.
Lovely bloke, sorry to read on here of his passing. A standout for me.
His story appeared on this site some time ago, but have re-submitted it if anyone is interested. A good insight into a good bloke.
Thanks, Bazza, condolences to Bill Mose’s family and may he Rest In Peace.
And thanks for resubmitting Bill’s story, ooslumbird, I’ll make sure I have a read.

Yes Mate, that’s a great write up on Bill, he was very modest about his achievements and I remember times I would want to know all about his WAFL time and he would casually say, “actually I always preferred cricket”.
When I worked with him at central year ago I remember going to a brawl at the old Beaufort Hotel with him, cool as a cucumber sorting things out and another funny night we got called to a gay lovers domestic in North Perth, after we went back to the car Bill being a 1950s sort of a bloke, said , .“..well I reckon those two blokes are a little bit different, if you know what I mean.”
My old man ran the old Beaufort hotel in the early 70’s for a couple of years for Rod Evans and i recall as a 6 or 7 year old kid the many fracas there, and i remember the Hofbrauhaus theme bar with the beers served in those big German mugs.
[quote=“Beasley Hutton post=206696”]Out of interest where exactly on Beaufort St was the Beaufort Hotel located?

Long gone now but was Corner of Beaufort and Newcastle, opposite Stirling Square, now a modern Coles building, The place used to attract all the flotsam and jetsam of what was a pretty dodgy area Rod Evans had it along with the Carlton.
The Beaufort and Norwood popular with East Perth fans back in the heyday of WANFL.
[quote=“royallucky post=206699”]corner of beaufort and newcastle, theres a Coles at that site now.The old pub was the first in Perth to get a midnight licence.

Yep, I think they early opened as well at one stage along with the Old Melbourne for the Alchos.
Another feature of the Beaufort was the Paul Rigby caricatures on the walls of the public bar, before he found fame and fortune as a cartoonist in New York, and the Brisbane and Claisebrook tavern use to pack in the Royals and WAFL faithful in the days when an Eagle was just considered as a menacing flying bird.

You can still see the Paul Rigby cartoons at the OBH.
