Sad to hear of the passing of Swans product and Eagles premiership player Adam Hunter, aged only 43. As I recall he scored the winning goal in the 2006 Grand Final. A versatile player who hit troubled times once he had retired with drug issues and other legal matters.
Condolences to his family and friends
Saved worsfold butt on more than one occasion, good player.
Yep sad to hear was one of my favourite players to watch. Could take a hang. Mr Versatile hard to find type of player. They are all dropping like flies it seems. Condolences to all.
Unbelievable and tragic for his family. One day after Selwood.
The specky with the knee to the back of someone’s head has to go. These athletes know their body very well and can easily place there knee in a slightly different place and still bring down an awesome mark.
RIP

Ongoing fall out from a very sordid era.
Shocking news again. I wonder how much the highs, lows and pressures of top class football has affected all the ex players.
RIP Adam.
FFS Baz, can’t you let those accusations go for a short while after these deaths?
Sad to hear of Adams passing.
not good for his immediate families
a lot of the bad drug seized by the police

What’s a specky got to do with this?
Well - I think a lot of the mental health problems that retired footballers have comes from too many head knocks throughout their career.
Some players go for a specky without any regard to the player in front of them.
To stop this:
- The specky mark should be reversed if the front player gets a knee to the head.
- The offending player should get a week to two on the sidelines if found guilty of recklessness - similar to the tunnelling rule brought in after the Michael Barlow incident.
TFAF, I reckon if Trump understood Aussie Rules, and posted here on Oz Footy, he would be calling you out for being a woke leftie mate, after that post.
Gotta feeling recreational drug use is more a factor for any former or current players mental health fragility since the 90’s , than a knee to the back of the head in a marking contest is sadly…

Freeze - Im 54 and played nine games of Ammos last year - happy to be called woke on this one issue.
I would also like put the accidental elbow to the back of the head (Alastair Lynch style) into the same bag.
These guys know their bodies and shouldn’t be placing elbows or knees near heads.
Agree drug use and mental health important too.
Mental health will improve with conservative governments who don’t treat masculinity as toxic.
