Last night’s final had the makings of a total massacre when Pies were 7 gls to Moggies 1 gl.
Last half had Pies kicking TWO goals to win. Wasn’t raining yet low scores..
Thought Grundy dominated with Pendlebury, Sidebottom & Adams the standouts.
Dangerfield, Stewart, Menegola & Blicavs for the Cats.
Geelong had O’Connor, Narkle, Ablett, Taylor, Duncan, Bews & Rohan as USELESS. Looked SCARED.
Eagles should thump this side next week.
Would I be right in saying it can’t be a WC v Rich grand final now? If WC beat Geelong they play loser of Rich v Brisb right? Then play the winner of that game in a prelim or does it switch the other way?
Incorrect I think DD. West Coast could beat Geelong and then head to Brisbane to play them in a prelim at the Gabba (if Brisbane beat Richmond tonight). The Eagles and Richmond could therefore meet in the grandy if the Tiges were to beat Collingwood in the prelim. The loser of Richmond Brisbane plays a home final next week against the winner of gws v dogs
(I think)
Using the AFL Ladder Predictor, the Eagles can play Richmond in the GF only if Richmond lose today.
If Richmond win today, and Eagles beat the handbaggers next week, it would be a Richmond/Eagles Prelim the following week.
