Yep Scurria very unlucky to miss after playing 16 of 18 H&A games and 3 finals. Not the only player that missed out and playing in the PF side for NB either.
There’s always players who miss out of GF sides no matter what level you play, some hard luck stories are part of it.
Remember Brendan Barrows getting dropped from a Claremont GF team in the rooms before the game after the Eagles insisted Mark Hepburn played….

From personal experience, it really sucks playing every game during the season and getting dropped to the bench for the Grand Final so the Coach can play his best mate, who just happened to be the Club President.
And then you get flogged in the Grand Final and the Coach doesn’t make any changes.

Yes without doubt all involved were ‘hard done by’ thats putting it mildly as i described.
Demons, yes…on behalf of every player that invested there faith that year in good faith. Only to be devastated at year end finals, for no reason.
As for no one caring, im sure you are correct.
But also as you mentioned until it happens to them.
Thus until responsibly is acknowledged, whats gonna stop that from reoccurring?
