One change, Sing in Bodle out.
Good luck lads.
One change, Sing in Bodle out.
Good luck lads.
Must have been hard leaving Zac Harding out.
Go out and gettem,boys!
Hit 'em hard at every turn, take the game on and take every chance!
We owe this mob,BIG TIME!
In Ressies,as well as League!
A hard choice between Glass-McCasker and Harding.
Well the Ressies did their bit with a stirring Victory.
But we’re far off it mixing it with the Big Boys of the League in South,Claremont and East Perth.
Plenty of work to do,to ensure we post Wins along the way,to see if we’re serious Contenders for the Final 5,let alone the Flag.
Yep not good enough to mix it with the likes of EP, Tigers and Souths doesn’t look like much coming through the ressies either, bottom 5 or 6 is where we struggle.
And htf did Davis get a state guernsey if there’s one player that stops momentum he’s the one, we’ve recruited enough top end talent, we need another good small fwd sorry but Moore isn’t up to it.
We really miss Schlensog. I heard Constable say this week he is still 4-6 weeks away.

Oh well,after the State Game,2 - 4 weeks away,…..maybe.
Good to see him with the boys throughout the game.
If we had hoped the SF game was an aberration, we now have to accept that we are miles off challenging the best teams, and can only hope to limp into 4th or 5th. Two things concern me: primarily scoring. Taking out the 150 point opening game, we have averaged 60 points a game, the second lowest in the WAFL over the last five weeks, where each game has been played in ideal conditions. Last year we played some daring, free flowing footy at times., This year, we are playing a dour, unattractive, error-riddled, low scoring game. The second concern is the lack of improvement from second and third year players. Can you really say that Cachard, Watson, Moore and Wills are better this year? We simply have too many players who don’t contribute - Kluske had a big game v Peel, but otherwise has been just OK, Gardiner was back to his early season form today, Johnston has done nothing after the opening game, GM has totalled 10 disposals in his last 3 games.
That said, we can make finals if we win the games we should win. We need to win 8/8 against WP, EF, SD and WC, and snag another couple. That would give 10-11 wins which should be enough to sneak into the finals. That, however, is our ceiling. It is unfortunate that, despite heavy recruiting, we are nowhere near where we need to be, and that is a reflection of a well worn topic: we simply don’t have the zones to produce enough players to support our top tier players.
Well,we shouldn’t lose any to the msd with our Losses to the Bigger Bodied Teams.
Claremont,South and East Perth however,….surely a few would go,……?
OUCH!
After getting SMASHED by the 3 Top Clubs in the Colts over several Decades, our Percentage is 55.

RedandBlack should be back soon to discuss that little thing called ZONES!

Really disappointing league result after working so hard to get back in it. I think we saw today a good team battling against an excellent team.
But what about that Luke Hallett torp after the siren in the reserves? Pure magic.
Just about brings a tear to the eye, seeing a Super kick like that, sailing through the Big Sticks!
Well Done Young Man and of course, the Ressies!
About a 30 Goal turnaround on the last time the 2 teams met and yes, albeit with 2 somewhat different teams!
But we shouldn’t get too down on today’s results, because these guys busted their rear today to EARN A VERY GOOD WIN!!!
Effing Ripper Game,Boys!

Always worth rewarding form in the reserves - and sending a message to league players. Gray, Brayshaw and Cameron all got good numbers in the twos. Kirk should be due back soon (though he hasn’t really found his feet in the WAFL yet), and hopefully Sing. We can’t play both GM and Harding as we were slow and top heavy today. Sing replaces GM for mine. Otherwise, Moore, Cachard, Watson, Clark and Gardiner have to be on notice. At least one of them makes way for Kirk, and possibly 1-2 others.
Surely Cachard needs a spell in the reserves he’s been invisible this year.
It’s a worry our ladder position. We’ve not matched CL and SF which is a worry. While no one wants to be May premiers we seem a long way off and SF and CL are racking up wins to lose a few without worry later on. We need to improve quickly and I’m not sure how that happens. Which might mean mid table mediocrity.
So long as we rack up the Wins and pick up Percentage(instead of losing it)on the way,I’ll worry about the Ladder by Rounds 19/20.
That’s the True Indication of where any Team stands, not the Live Ladder at Half - Time of any Round.
Just watched the replay as I didn’t get to see much yesterday with too much socialising. Gee if we got that set shot at the 15 minute mark of the third quarter we would have only been 3 points down and looking like we belong.
Obviously a blow out in the end and our youngsters tired.
I like the look of Tilbee and Seth Clarke - I thought Wills was good.
Parff way down on form. Gardiner down after a good game last week.
Crowd drops off when you play Claremont.
I don’t like Hunter
Glass McCasker had a great duel with Gowdie.
I would say Gardiner out for Sing in.
I agree with Ted that we need to see more from Cachard and Watson and Moore soon.
The Whole Team needs to Lift, then the improvement will naturally show in Individual players!
Without taking away from our State Players, the General Bye couldn’t have come at a Better Time to reset the Season and Send it back in the Right Direction!
