Perth v Peelmantle

Pretty close to full strength with the exception of Regan and Johnno if Schlensog, Simpson, Thorne and OHB make the cut.

Draper, Aisha’s Reidy all named for Peel yet all emergencies for Freo who start at 6:10pm.

I wonder what time they make a call on these three not forgetting that sometimes players go down in the warm up.

For Perth. I think Simpson has to come through the Ressies for a couple of weeks.

Of the 8 on the bench:
Hine-Baston
Schlensog
Thorne
And either
If Peel a tall team Poole or Luers (for a first game)
If Peel small One of the above and McLean

Would like to see Thorne and obviously Schlensog Simpson and OHB

Stubbs not named in either the League or Ressies. Nor is he on the injury list - What’s the GO?

Noticed this! What’s the go with him? I know he played out in Kal last week. Maybe he is done in the big smoke?

Not good from the Ressies .

Outstanding boys I haven’t seen tackling like that in the last 20 years.

Good win boys. Most impressed by the young kids… Scoble, Hine-Baston, Cachard.
Paton & Kemp surprising me up forward.

Time for him to go. We know what he brings but not good enough imo

Who Smokey? Stubbs I assume?

Yep. Not WAFL standard

Good to see Simpson get through.

I am surprised to see Baxter Phillip only had 10 possessions as I thought it was his best game for us (maybe my eyes are getting him mixed up with Kemp - who by the way kicked a nice goal).

Gee Paton is doing well. Someone said he had an ordinary last three quarters v EF but he is looking pretty dependable for 2 or 3 goals a week.

Poor old Clarke had terrible delivery to him all around his ankles or just over his head - but great to get the win without him kicking any.

Was it Scobes or PC that went down for a while in the last.

Hine Bastons pace is fantastic. I love our pace this year - Bring in McClean for TBH.

Looking at the numbers in the Ressies we should probably be looking to get Thorne in too (18 and no goals but he is a proven performer and still youngish). Della also good in the Ressies, Fairbank 55 hit outs - Good effort. Q, Watson and Cooper Moore will have to do more to press their case. Leurs showing some consistency with the switch to forward. Gray’s possessions down from his usual 30 but kicked 2. A game they should have won. Let;s not forget Peel have 25 injuries.

Back to the league

Edwards was fantastic against Reidy. Parfitt did his recall no harm. Chook, Mick, Wills very good.

Sings touch on the line in the last superb. When you see the ball heading back and look up to see Scobes there you can relax. PC’s spoiling excellent. As I have said before Tails in career best form.

This web site difficult to navigate - If you haven’t posted for a while get on and don’t be lazy. New user name for the shit stirrers is fine. Remember all good to give a bit of shit but not too much.

Let’s have a drink at either the Claremont Bar after the game or the Claremont hotel after what is a winnable game next week.

Ps the Women’s team went very close last night - having a better than many a first year teams results.

My god this new website is horrific

Early days Sacko give it time the first few threads under WAFL chat the previous admin made redundant no longer relevant. They should get rid of those about Eagles/EP alignment Freo Peel alignment and Say no to AFL clubs in the WAFL. Doesn’t show who’s online and last member who posted but it does show latest topics and you can set it to show latest or newest like the old Ozfooty and it shows in your profile and email if someone has responded to a topic you have posted on.

Agree TFAF Edwards probably the most improved ruckman in the comp he is getting better each game and the young kids are going great. Helps when you have experienced leaders.

I’ve just noticed Perth don’t have a home game now until July 9. One game against WC at Lathlain but that’s officially an away game. That’s a long time between home games.

Need to win the next 3 CM before the bye then got a tough run against SF away, EF at home and EP away.

Every game is a tough game, rednblack. But I agree these next 3 are vital. Can’t wait for next week against C.

Got to admire the efforts of Corey Byrne, took a couple of solid knocks in the second half and took it in his stride…real gutsy and inspiring stuff!!!
Derksen needs to work on his overhead marking, dropped a couple he really should be taking.
Terrific to witness the terrific workrate and pressure applied by the team as whole!
