Big relief Parfitt didn’t get picked up in the MSD and others and Claremont supporters will be relieved also they didn’t lose Eastland. Full steam ahead for the rest of the season with the squad in tact. Big game this one. Wet weather has arrived but looks like the rain will clear by Saturday afternoon. Not so for the 2 Monday derbies.
Looking forward to team selection tonight. Looks like Hunter won’t get up for Claremont
All three grades from both teams are currently in the Top four and should be looking to win.
Great chat with Sam
Unlikely that we will make any changes. The only issue might be the weather. Claremont Oval gets pretty waterlogged and heavy, so even if Saturday clears, heavy rain leading in could leave the ground in pretty ordinary shape. It may be worth considering dropping TBH for someone like Thorne, a smaller, more skilled player. Or even Gray, a bullocking player who tackles strongly.
Totally agree. TBH was way underdone last week.
No change to the team so far. Of note of the extended bench only Dellamarta is listed in the Ressies as well. No sign of Stubbs in either team and again not on the injured list - a list we have been good at updating this year.
Expect Sams’ name to appear in the next Bush and the Burbs instalment I reckon. Noticed a Daniel Stubbs in the Mines Rovers team last weekend. Heard rumours that’s where he’s heading. Still on our list so probably given a permit.
I´d be happy if Stubbs went to another WAFL club. We get a transfer fee and our 4th best defender gets an easy game. Surprised TBH in the starting line up. I´d just go with the same team as last week. Since TBH is a starter, maybe Poole comes out for Thorne if we want a smaller side for the conditions.
Huge game for the DEES which we should enter with confidence.
After all we have beaten both of last year’s finalists and top of the table SF.
We are capable of playing with the big boys.
I would also be happy to sell Stubbs on. He’s been surpassed.
We lost the opening round against South. But looks like an unchanged line-up for the first time in a long time providing there are no late outs.
Sorry my mistake we played well but did get beaten.
Hopefully your coach will put a tag on Bolton. He gets the ball a lot and is very damaging with his disposals. He has made a habit of destroying Swans on multiple occasions and no one has been able to nullify his influence.
I think things may have changed a bit.
Bolton maybe will need to worry about our midfield.
I think our pace maybe a bit of a worry for them.
We do have some guns now.
Constable, Parfitt, Simpson and Byrne.
As well as Michael Randall has been excellent with clearances.
Wills with his pace.
Bolton, Rogers and England maybe doing some chasing for a change.
Plenty of goalkickers as well.
My prediction is a win for the DEES.
The third quarter is the same Perth Football club I’ve watched for 40 years. Absolutely smashed in every facet of the game. Our skills and decision making are pathetic. We are miles off now when I had my hopes up that we were genuine contenders this year
Honest question would Claremont train to flop? I’ve never in my life seen a team flop like I have today. Bailey Rogers is literally on steroids and falls over from a breathe of wind. And on multiple occasions. The umpiring has been good but they’ve been sucked in to these tactics all day. Cost many 50’s and goals
Besides Scoble and Hine Baston the backline is putrid although today they’ve been thrashed all over the ground just making up the numbers, more recruiting needed to become a genuine contender.
Wow. Now that’s what I call a reality check. A thumping reality check.
I have to admit I did not see that coming.
Back to the drawing board.
Thank christ the Ressies won.
So what was it this week? Umpires? Ground? No Stubbs? Water carriers? White shorts? Zones???
