Well done to the Scorchers,2 wins in a row.
After the shocker vs Melbourne Heat only scoring 69 runs they have come back well beating Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat.
Last nights game vs Heat was good to watch with Coulter-Nile and Shaun Marsh bringing the team back from the dead, scoring 29 runs in 18 balls to steal the game from the Heat.
Shaun Marsh is showing his class,I like the looks of Hilton Cartwright, looks to have a future as an all rounder,Beer is bowling well and Alfonso Thomas has added some class to the bowling.
Well done to Justin Langer for giving us supporters something to cheer about.
Now im confused…isnt the heat our baseball name? Fair dinkum is there anything more mickey mouse than this shyte so called sport?. I dont know anyone who gives a rats about it (maybe its the oldies i hand arond with). Ohhh we are playing at the furnace are we…ohhh thats so imiginative isnt it. Hey marketeeers.. heres a headline you can have from me for free… SCORCHERS SEND TEAM X (some other silly nicknamed team) TO HELL… ha ha.
Gee unk, you can be so negative. To be honest mate, you’d do a favour to your emotional comfort by sticking to watching test cricket and Geelong replays. Surely the rest of us that don’t mind a bit of (what I consider) light hearted entertainment can watch it without being bagged for it.
It was an amazing ending wasn’t it? I thought we were gone for all money. Well done Coults and Marsh. Great bit of entertainment.
ERrr NO. shield matches wafl footy (pre the alliance) all good SPORT…yup SPORT 58. If i want light entertainment i will go and watch a movie, or watch a reality show on TV ( as there is no diffence)…serioulsy watching some market driven ctrap, with no one giving a rats toss bag and PRETENDING to make it IMPORTANT, give me a break. Im not negative at all, just a realist, who refuses to be sucked in by the marketers/corporations who run so called sport these days. By all means enjoy watching that CRAP. The “rest of us”?? crowds are down heaps on last year, its already been seen for what it is. If i want to watch has beens i will watch the legends games thank you very much.
Fair enuf sad sack
I guess each to his own?
…FAir nuff 58, are you one of the many who yell out …when asked “who do you barrack for?”… one of the many games to appeal to the Playschool mentality.
Agree with you here unka this whole Big Bash bull$hit cricket is aimed at total brain dead zombies & by the looks of what I have seen from the dwindling crowds this summer CA have certainly succeeded in this target market! :woohoo:
Agree 20 overs is not a cricket game but a novelty that relies on 1 batsman getting lucky and usually an import.
We used to call it HIT AND RUN when I was a kid and thats all it is
This article is for you Mr 58… just keeping the “stirrin” up mate!!
By night, the B-Graders and under-performing imports are playing in the Big Bash. All the while, an arrogant CA believes, quite genuinely, the Australian public will fork out for tickets and hang off their television sets to see all of it.
In the A-team, only two players - Michael Clarke and Shane Watson - are genuine superstars. The rest appear to have had charisma bypasses.
No effort has been made by CA’s marketing gurus to create star quality around its players.
By night, the Big Bash is becoming a big headache. The idea that anyone would develop an allegiance to any of these teams is a joke.
All the work is ahead of cricket. It can no longer adopt the build it and they will come mantra.
Hey dont lose heart.. We have Warner who plays every game including Test matches as if they are a 20/20. Sometimes he is lucky but is that what we want in Test Cricket?
