Problem is the whole league ends up suffering from these stuff ups, look at all the ground moves and fixturing mess ups the EF debacle has caused.

If no one comes up with the 3.4 Million its a dead duck.

You need to listen to Rachael Baz.
This topic is none of my business but like other WAFL diehards, I want to see all traditional clubs including Perth be successful and to my mind, Baz makes a valid point around moving to the WACA. Good facilities, geographically near Lathlain for your supporter base and would make use of the WACA ground during winter months.
Tell ToVP thanks but we’re out of here and see what they do. Profit sharing from the bars and food outlets would have to be negotiated but if a long term lease was agreed to, I’m sure a win/win for PFC and the WACA could be achieved.

Apparently they are terrible to work with BC. Like really bad - we would be broke in no time. Things like having our own room for display would be a no no too - like EF atm. The idea would have merit if they could do something to the WACA like they have with the MCG
Fair enough TFaf…just a thought. I wonder if some or all of the government grants could be used to build your own social premises at the WACA maybe over on the northern side as part of the current redevelopment.
Gee, looking at the fundraising for East Freo my optimistic thought on Perth being able to raise a quick million is in doubt. They are only at $60,662 of a goal of $250,000 in their Sharks redevelopment foundation. This has been running for quite some time too I think. Now they are offering Laurie Potter like Lifetime Memberships for $1650 as well.
No one will contribute any more atm due to the uncertainties surrounding the finished product @ Shark Park.
Anyway to get Perth’s Stadium up and running it is important that we at least contribute $200K I think. One of the councillors said as much during the Council meeting on Wednesday 17/9. I still think we have 80 members that would be able to contribute $2500 each - this would get us to the $200K.
EFFC have been trying to raise that for ages, problem is a lot of members have drifted off lately with the shambles.
I read the full ToVP minutes, did anyone else pick up on the change of licence set up, Not a Club Licence as is now the case - but will have a Tavern License, thats sounding a lot like the EF set up,“BEWARE”!!!
Thanks for the heads up B. We will have to make sure of that before we contribute anything
Would the state government funding come with an attachment to VW which we have seen elsewhere create all manner of issues!
I doubt it. Russell Clarke is an experienced campaigner - was heavily involved in the Mandurah build and I have been told that works perfectly
State government are getting involved and reading the EF council the riot act. Rita is always cashing in unashamedly letting everyone know she is a passionate Fremantle supporter. Guess where AFL players come from Rita? WAFL, so step up and pay the paltry extra few million that is required due construction cost increases since you and others first pledged grants.
I bet Colin Barnett twisted a few arms to help his beloved Claremont get what they wanted.

Mandurah had a bottomless pit of WAFC cash.

They are already putting in 10 Million aren’t they? What more do you want?
10 million into Lathlain Baz. 20+ million into Shark Park. They have 4 more in them. Sport so very important for communities. Perth are the only team in the economically poor eastern corridor.

Really?
South Eastern corridor yes, but North Eastern corridor no!
Midland and surrounds are hardly well off!

Beasley - You know Perth and Swans have a special relationship. You are correct both Eastern - you guys closer to the Swan river, the wine region and Guildford Grammar though. We definitely should push our games as the eastern derby.
Any way saw this in the paper this morning “Great to be Back” - Albo in Perth for major Metronet milestone. As it was the Federals Liberals who put in the $4million towards the build (7years ago) let’s see the Federal Labor put in the remaining $4million short (I rounded up there). Strong labor support in this area. Plenty of greenies in Vic Park as well - they should get behind it.
Also saw an article on how much coin the State Gov have at their disposal.
Come on
As a side - Perth supporters:
1, check out the great article about Gordon Shepard on the clubs website.
2, Let the club know if you want to contribute to the new stand.
As a member of the council said - why haven’t Perth put any coin in? I reckon we could get $100K - which may not sound like much of a $25 million build every bit helps and it is a similar amount to what the WAFC is putting in (200K)

South Perth, Como, Kensington,- Poor LOL - Wesley College, Penhros, Aquinas, Trinity,
You need a violin, a very small one.
Idiot take a breath of fresh air and read my post again. Other councils “within the Perth metro zone”, meaning PFC metro zone.

Just saw some extra letters of Advocacy to get the Perth Stand built.
The Mayor’s of Canning, Belmont, Gosnells and South Perth all acknowledged the many footballers from their zones that have gone through to Play football at Lathlain and have benefited from the use of the Club Rooms- whether it be Colts, Reserves, League or Rogers Cup.
$100K from the 4 of them would be great - $400K - plus $100K from PFC and another $100K from the WAFC (the $200 they budgeted for was years ago) that would be $600K and a significant chunk.
As you can see Tiger this is a lot different to the Town of Vic Park contributing to Claremont.
Since a number of EFFC junior clubs are in those local government areas perhaps they could also kick in $100000 each to go to the EF redevelopment!!
