did clancee pearce play at noranda.it has always been a east perth junior club back to michael prior.i reckon you will find a lot of players are residentailly bound to one club but playing in a different teams competition.explain how you have colts who are from cunderdin albany and mount lawley playing for you.
Well Myrtle if you can ever get off your back you are welcome to do whatever you think is best, one question tho’ given most clubs are running at a loss where is the money coming from to pay for all these raided players!
Well Grump, there are 7 WAFL clubs. If each club secures an average of one available player each that could be 7 players. But then again the Eagles may treat you as the protected species you think you are & put a block on players leaving.
7 players is a bit thin, I would suspect that there are at least 5 current league squad players that will be looking elsewhere, after Wulfie and swan retire.
Then there will be about 8 or 9 from that fringe league/ressies who will be looking for a move. The way the reserves are going and knowing the most of the group from last years colts I think most of the younger ones will stay for at least one or 2 years to see what develops.
The thing abt that number is that it is what it you would normally expect in turnover anyway, just maybe more ‘league’ players.
Whatever you may say or spin the fact remains that East Perth Football Club can only be referred to in the PAST TENSE. They are at the beck and call of the Eagles and signed away any autonomy when they agreed with the host club scenario.

i thought swans just wanted to make a statement. i found it quite amusing to be truthful. i dont know what bronte expects. selling out our great clubs dignity = ridicule.
you taketh the money you can afford to buy a thick skin.
aside from this issue i have watched alot more wafl on tv this year. some of the games have been terrific to watch. the competition is hard to predict which is good. i personally dont think ep will be as strong as many think next year. they will likely lose a big chunck of their core players which will make them very thin on the outside. next year we will know.
i really do miss watching my royals this year
very strange situation i thought id never be in. i do hope other supporters keep faith in their clubs, who knows we all might survive this. just hoping
don’t know why you are not watching the royals this year.what is the differnce watching a east perth side running around with 4 dockers last year or 4 eagles this year.look next year is next year but i am happy watching some new guys playing league in jacob payne, ashley boyes, mitchell fraser.i live in the moment.
Josh Smith, Aaron Sweet, Freddie Clutterbuck and Ryan Maldenis would be nice Is Josh a 10 or 12 point player?
josh smith is a ten pointer unless he goes to west perth.i am sure whoever gets him will have to pay some money for his services.as for the other three they will cost points as non zoners so the question is who will you drop to get them into your side and are they better then the non zoners you already have
two things.don’t see a mass walkout.the usual retirements a few guys going back east.a few guys going to other clubs.i am sure seal is a possibility to go as he has spent a couple of weeks in the twos and tells me he may not be in the coaches plans for next year.dawson has already promoted 4 who were not regular players last year and i think he is smart and is grooming some more guys for next year.we lost 6 league players this year and expect to lose about the same for next.in the end the grumpy 7 have only 130 points to work with so they will have to add up whether a player is worth the points he is valued at.teams may have to discard non zone players if they want to pinch guys but in the end money and points may decide who goes.also suspect a few peel/royals player may go bush and get better money if they are past the drafting age.

It will be interesting to see how the points system plays out at the various clubs come the end of the season.
Grump I noticed that Swan Districts were not found to have brought the WAFL competition in to disrepute over the ‘scoreboard incident’. Any comments?
amd neither they should be, did it took it down end of story. the saddest part of the whole incident was how it was dealt with on this site.
Three things I am certain of, Smith Johnston will still be at EP next year and that we will lose a lot of c graders next year and Mossy is out til’ at least July 2014
Would you like to have a little wager on all the above players being at EP next year grump?

Having been subjected to the issues of being brought up by a chronic gambler I don’t wager on anything, just so you know that I am not afraid to put the money where the orifice is!
It is my opinion based on what has been discussed at the club by various knowledgeable people, the fact that the two big guys are contracted, both have jobs as part of their contract and that they do not appear affected by the alignment suggests to me they are not going anywhere.
Yes I know week is a long time in football but at this point in time I will stick by my opinion and statement.
