RE: Sponsorship for Peoples Sports Talk
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Adam McGrath and I am the host of Peoples Sports Talk.
Peoples Sports Talk (PST) is a show that started as a podcast a few months ago, but after gaining momentum, it has recently made its debut on 91.3 SportsFM.
The show is based solely on sport and provides facts and interviews for our followers and listeners. We discuss all sports, with a strong focus on AFL, NRL, WAFL, Cricket, NBL and Horse Racing.
We have a professional horse-racing punter who gives his best bets and we also have Melbourne correspondent and journalist Kate Mitchell who joins the show each week.
Kate provides us with all the news, big stories and rumours that are circling around Melbourne. Kate’s east coast expertise coupled with my ear on the ground here in Perth ensures that our listeners are offered a broad range of sporting information. It is because of this that we have attracted followers from every state in Australia.
In our first season of PST we interviewed some great sporting stars. These included:
• Andrew Krakouer - Collingwood FC
• Terry Wallace - AFL Legend
• Ashley Hansen – Ex West Coast Eagles Premiership Player/Swan Districts FC
• Steven McGarry - Perth Glory FC
• Greg Hire - Perth Wildcats
• Mark Bosnich - Premier League winner with Manchester United
• Jason Gillespie - Australian Cricket Player
• Ashleigh Nelson – London 2012 Olympian
• Simon Miller - WA horse trainer
When designing this show, I had no prior contacts in any industry. All of these interviews came from myself building strong and meaningful relationships with a wide range of sporting clubs and athletes. I believe it is my strong interpersonal skills and communication skills that have allowed this show to grow and to become respected by Western Australian but also Australian Sporting Clubs and athletes.
Social media has been an amazing outlet for our show. PST reaches thousands of people every week. We have hundreds of Twitter and Facebook followers, and now that we are on SportsFM we are gaining a lot more exposure.
