Listening to CEO on Wafl World today, I thought the club sounded in pretty good shape. Reasonable attendance given the rest of the comps attendances. Colts going well. Ground in good nick and support from the shire with maintaining the ground.
I was at the game.
Attendance quoted in the media 1500 is rubbish. For the league game 300 by my calculations…….the President’s luncheon was a shocker. (50 people??) It was stand up finger food and free drinks, in the members bar area. The function room was booked for Ladies Day. Looked busy around 5pm when the league players filtered in to the room.
If not for the 12 AFL players in the Peel league side South’s would’ve won handsomely.
In my opinion the standard of umpiring was excellent and had no impact on the game outcome.
If Peel didn’t have the AFL alignment they’d be challenging the Eagles and Perth for the wooden spoon.
12?? I thought I heard they had 14 listed players.

OK thanks.
Peel is stacked with 15 Freo players tomorrow v WC who have 11.
I thought I heard Luke Sanders from the WAFC say Peel was restricted to 11 Fremantle listed players per League game???
Actually they have played 12 or 13 quite often this year!

Thats 15 if my counting is correct. Probably their strongest team since the one they put out against South Fremantle. Peel have also stacked their team with Dockers so there will be a lot of players out there trying to retain their spots on the AFL list. No room in the Peel team for Sebit Kuek though. He has been playing reserves after spending the first half of the season as a key player in the East Perth set up . That would have to go down as the most disgraceful decision made in a mid season draft as it is totally at odds with the purpose of the draft which is to plug short term injury gaps not top up lists with promising young players. It also looks like Sebit has struggled since he joined Peel.
Creasey is an ex EF player mikeh…he is not a WCE listed player…a few of those boys are uncontracted for next year, so they will be keen to put their best foot forward…though might be a case of too many individuals looking out for themselves though…
Well MIKEH, Dean Turner was on the radio the other day, trying to justify their idiotic decision, and he deferred to the KPI rubbish about only winning the same number of games as last year, but he had to know that losing Sebit would have cost us at least 2 more wins on the board.I’m sorry Deano,i know you used to work at the Swan Brewery, but we are not talking about producing and then selling pallets of ‘‘PISS’’ and you being an ex player, should know better than anyone, that success hinges on the calibre of the playing stocks available, and our current best forward Tom Medhat,in a 4 year time frame only managed 10 games for his former club the JOONDALUP FALCONS.so give us spell with the moronic justifications.
