Peel Football League

Very quite on here with no news on the Peel Football League. Just recently won the ‘A’ section of the landmark carnival showing how strong a competition it has become. The ladder is tight with finals only just around the corner.

1st- Halls Head: The team to beat. A star studded team with guns across every line. Should finish top and get the week off.
2nd- Baldivis: Won their first 11 games. Wheels look to be falling off with some of their recent losses but have enough games under the belt to lock up 2nd spot.
3rd- Pinjarra: Have won a few games this year but don’t seem to trouble the top teams. Have Waroona and Halls Head to finish off and could see them slip further down the ladder.
4th- Waroona: With big Spanderman from Mandurah they have a new lease of life. Always competitive around finals and look to be coming good again at the right time. Can make 3rd spot theirs with 2/3 wins to finish off.
5th- Sth Mandurah: Last years premiers have definitely dropped off. Should sneak into finals but will have to capture their best form to trouble the teams above them.
6th- Mundijong: Giant killers on their day. Need a few things to go their way to make finals. Have improved from last year and will look to make this year a springboard for next.
7th- Rockingham: Have improved this year but won’t be enough to make finals. Lacking the class of other teams.
8th- Mandurah: Haven’t won a game this year and doesn’t look likely with their best player leaving to Waroona. Been down for a few years for this once proud club. Will need some big changes next year to get competitive again.

Did not Halls Head sell the farm last year, and did not make it to the big dance ?

And again I am told Halls Head have used the inheritance to get a flag and have failed again to get to the GF falling in the Preliminary to Waroona last Sunday

Sounds like it has been a very expensive exercise over past 3 season, but no cigar

Yesterday’s Grand Final saw Baldivis win their first league flag.
Baldivis 10.7.67
Waroona 9.8.62
