Need to improve the forum for next season. Need a full blown app, or make this mobile friendly. Tapatalk doesn’t seem to work using the Android app, nor does reCAPTCHA when using tablets or mobiles.

Durtle I use my Samsung Galaxy Note phone most of the time when I am on Ozfooty except if I’m doing updates and making some changes but that is on another platform. When I tested Tapatalk previously I didn’t have a problem with it though I don’t normally use it. I prefer to see the whole site in it’s pure form.
There was a problem with Captcha a few months ago but that has been rectified. I haven’t received any complaints about that since then.
Re - mobile app. I imagine that would require significant investment to create a mobile app version. I basically took over this site to save it. I am not the creator of this site and I don’t have the skills to create something like this from scratch. It took significant investment just to upgrade the forum from an older version and since then I have implemented Google ads which provides a modest return on investment. It is not easy to get support for this platform.
Durtle, can you, or someone you know, write an app for the forum?
Either that, or your very kind offer to stump up with 50% of the server fees for the next 12 months would probably be most welcome.
For myself, I am quite happy to keeping logging in and/or viewing via the current process.

It’s hardly surprising Mr AFL, the statements anchorman has been making lately about Ozfooty and OFA. Idiots like this just ruin forums for everyone else. Why can’t people just appreciate this forum and contribute to it without feeling the need to criticise it because it doesn’t satisfy them? I wouldn’t be surprised if Admin is running out of patience with him.

I’m with DD on this…OzFooty is a fantastic forum and completely unique as it’s primarily for talking about the WAFL but allows a lot of other discussion as well. I think we should just enjoy it without being critical given it’s being administered by one person. Sure, make positive suggestions for improvement but criticism isn’t warranted in any form.
Anchorman has been banned. You are 100% correct BC and DD. I welcome feedback and suggestions, that is exactly what this section is for but I won’t tolerate forum bashers who run it down that it’s not to their liking and comparing it with the demise of Footygoss which in fact died from a lack of control and moderation and failure to deal with spam. Time to move on. I have given WC and Fremantle their own stand alone category which I think makes sense given this forum is pro West Australian and added WCE reserves to the WAFL section.

I hope he is allowed back on at some stage as he’s a passionate Freo and South Freo supporter which is what we need…but yes, I agree…there’s no place for criticism when it’s one person doing the hard yards of administrating a chat site. Just on that, at risk of sounding like a suck hole which I’m not, I’d like to give credit where it’s due and say thanks for your efforts over a long period of time OFA…I’m sure it’s very much appreciated by the vast majority on here me included…cheers.
I go back to a comment I made a week or so ago that we should really just appreciate this opportunity to comment and banter about footy/cricket/sport in general or other topics. Don’t take things too seriously or personally.
I was on Footygoss as well like many on here were and it was nothing like this site. Ozfooty is well run and moderated and OFA has done a great job in dealing with a number of difficult scenarios but generally just leaves us to it as long as people don’t go overboard.
I do hope that Anchorman does come back because he does create some great discussions but if he has gone over the line on this occasion the OFA as the owner has the right to place sanctions on any member that does this.
