I see that Jye Richardson’s contract has not been renewed to make way for the ‘emerging’ Boland. That’s a surprise…..or is it?
No disrespect to Boland, but he is going to play only 1 format…if he can get past the big 3…whilst Jhye is more versatile and can play all 3 formats…and good enough too. Injuries were a mitigating factor I guess. Why 4 spinners contracted? Not sure Swepson deserved a contract from that Pakistan tour…pretty sure Richatdson took more wickets in that one match v Eng, then Swepson did all tour in Pakistan.
It defies logic that Jhye is not on the Cricket Australia contract list.
How on earth is Finch still stealing money from CA he should have been shown the door years ago and has as much hope of playing proper Test Cricket as I do in the near future- none.
Whilst I agree with Freeze in that I saw enough of Swepson in Pakistan to suggest he wont have a long term future in Test Cricket let alone the white ball formats?
geez takes 5 for 42 in a test and gets clipped - i know he is a bit injury prone but go figure ???
Southerner I reckon his cards were marked when he came out during the summer and supported JL. That would have upset King Pat and the bowling cartel

Well deserved title as well, considering King Pat is probably the best fast bowler doing the international rounds at present. Still shaking my head how Richardson misses out, whilst Boland and Swepson get contracts…especially the latter.
