Next season - ins, outs, thoughts

I’ve got a mate who is a Subiaco supporter who sometimes flick through Ozfooty pages when he is bored, and it has to be said he is not really a WAFL fanatic and just goes to the odd Grand Final. He went and asked me and i quote’‘you know this Grump is he an East Perth supporter?’'which sums it all really when a random observer can’t decipher whether your an East Perth supporter, and as for you being an ex colts trainer i only know that from a fellow Royal who sits near the Lotons, and i really don’t care.
As i previously said, when we won 5 from 7 you never said blip, and you’ve been Death riding Barney from Day 1,and your the strangest East Perth supporter i’ve ever encountered where your are more pre disposed to praising the opposition than backing your own club, but i’m Royals man first and foremost, and if i believe we recruit adequately and we miss the finals, than yes i will say its time for a change, but until then i’m 100 percent behind our club legend, and 100 percent confident he will get the club to where we need it to be.

Who did Micale recruit between the end of 2008 when we won the spoon and 2010 when we played off in a Prelim???please enlighten me,although we did get back the talented but wayward Zac Beek, who played the football of his life under Micale when we surged into the 2010 finals.

Glad you have a mate, if you only know that I was a trainer from someone else I am surprised that you can berate me, you obviously have made a set of assumptions, oh that is your right albeit a bit shallow.

As for my commentary I have always tried to be fair abt my comments when commenting abt other teams, others like to dump and carry on but I like to give credit when credit is due.

As for my silence abt games that is my choice given how I felt abt the team and yes the coach!

Thanks for looking that up …

Your welcome,i’ve got a very good memory retention, and i would probably never recall a player suiting up for 1 game when he indeed played 7,so please correct me if i do.

Long time reader but post not a great deal.

Seriously, you 2 need to have a chat off line and sort out differences. Or just agree to disagree with each other on everything. seems like these threads just get taken over by bickering between you blokes.
Rather annoying to be honest for the rest of us.

[quote=“Frothy post=214053 userid=3164”] So, East Perth haven’t managed to develop any players (a lot of that due to their choice of being aligned to WCE and not allowing their own players to develop) and that is now justification be given up to 14 WCE interstate players…?
And also East Perth want no cap on ability to recruit, while taking on up to 14 WCE listed players….?
Funny stuff

You and others can relax now, Frothy, as EPFC members have received an email headlined “Royals To Remain Standalone”.
Very happy that the Club has made this decision and am looking forward to 2022.

straight from the horses mouth

The East Perth Football Club will remain a standalone club and will not house any interstate West Coast Eagles players. The Club will work with the WAFC, WAFL Clubs and the West Coast Eagles to ensure there is a fair and equitable solution to this situation.East Perth supports West Coast having their own team in the WAFL competition. We will continue to develop our local talent and pathways to give all players within our metro and country zones the opportunity to develop and play at their full potential. Our recruiting strategy will continue to complement this to ensure that East Perth is able to compete. The Club still has and always will have plenty of work to do to ensure this happens. We firmly believe we are on the right path

Another player has left with Jaxon Cahill and his brother joining Mt Lawley. So AJ, Dobbo, Rocky (retired), Cahill, Blee (retired) all leaving. Any others not hanging around? Need some excellent and a fair few to be recruited if we are to be competitive next year.

Greaves can play half back,Cooley can as well, we’ve got plenty who can play half back flank.

Sad to learn that loyal royal Russell Woolf has passed away overnight at 57.

I will retract my last statement on the integrity of EPFC players and congratulate them on the strong stance they took. Good to see the WAFL having a win, albeit seemingly without the support of the commission.

Thats a common sense statement '58,well done!

Reported in the West this afternoon:..But it is understood that after deciding to return to the competition when they could not find a club willing to host their spare players, West Coast were interested in regaining the midfielder as their WAFL marquee player next year. West Coast are likely to ask the WA Football Commission for a ruling on the grounds that circumstances have changed significantly since Brayshaw signed with East Perth.

What a bunch of pricks! The WAFC better not cave on this one after the deal has been done. Brayshaw has been on EP’s list for at least a week now

Satan he has signed with EP.
I assume therefore, he is under contract.

hmm.brayshaw back to the eagles maybe.things could be worse we could have brayshaw and be aligned.

Eagles will worm there way out of the contract with Brayshaw

How so?
contract is between Brayshaw and EP.

It’s very odd circumstances, I can see the Eagles argument here but at the end of the day it’s probably going to come down to what Brayshaw wants. If he says to EP I want to go back to the Eagles, the only reason I signed was we thought there was not going to be an Eagles WAFL team then I’m sure EP won’t him to the contract. Gotta be the players decision I think.
