New start.

With the new admin taking over and the new rules regarding sledging on the team forums.I think it is time for some Peel supporters to come back and have a say here with out being harassed and condemned for posting about their team.
I am guessing this week with Fremantle losing Johnson and Fyfe, and with Neale and Ballantyne in doubt, there will be more actual Peel players selected to play Perth.

when I saw the heading anchor I thought you were being facetious and posting about changes to the Newstart allowance which would be particularly relevant to our Mandurah based friends…glad I was mistaken.

LOL BC, very funny. No nothing political about it.

I dibs Anchorman to be the moderator of the Peel thread…all those in favour please click the thank you box

I second that

Again very funny freez.
Maybe there wont need to be a mod when they come here in droves :woohoo: ,No shenanigans here now.LOL

OK the Peel team contains the following players from the Fremantle Dockers
Ibbotson
Collins
Nyhuis
Clancee Pearce
Hughes
Morabito
Suban
Deluca
Uebergang
Tanner Smith
Yarran
Hannath

That makes 12 with the probability of De Boer and Langdon coming in as well unless they have to rush to Adelaide last minute. Not a lot of room for Peel players really.

No there isn’t Mike that is for sure. But that is the consequence og what has happened. We will have to wait until after the alignment finishes to maybe see change.

They are quite welcome to post here any time Anchor.

Problem is,it’s a bit difficult to fly the flag for your club, when the League Team isn’t really a representation of Mandurah and the Peel Districts. It’s pretty much a plaything for the Dockers.

John Ditchburn knows that, but would never admit it of course.

Of course they are quite welcome to posy here Grassy, but with some of the meat heads here, when ever some one tried to make intelligent conversation they were howled down.
And let me tell you it wasn’t from banter. As I said maybe now the rules of the forum have changed there may be some willing to come back and post. But I wouldn’t bank on it.
There are troll here, same a sit was on FG, that wait until some one posts then they attack the. They don’t have the intelligence to write a post of their own.We all know who they are.
So with the new rules maybe some things will be different.

I will predict right now the GF will be between Peelmantle and $alaryaco, with about 5k rolling up

Today Peel had 6 players in their 22 man league side who were from the Peel metro or country zone. Their reserves team was belted by a team that had previously not won a game this year. Their colts were beaten by 40 points although this wasn’t too bad because Perth is the top side. Peel have won 2 and lost 4 in the colts but their percentage is only 53%. This is a club that has very little player depth and is being literally propped up by the Fremantle Dockers. They would have been far better putting more resources into developing the youngsters from the growing population in the Mandurah area. I would imagine these players would be going elsewhere or giving up footy because of the lack of opportunity at the league level.

Given the obsession the Commission has with Peel, noting their apparent determination to avoid the realities of past errors, in truth, I would rather have Fremantle prop them up.

In saying so, I am working, on a couple of assumptions particularly post 2018; the integrity of all nine clubs is protected in return the Eagles and Dockers can join the competition.

Many people have advocated this idea on here for a long time, and, for my part, I have come around to the idea because I think it is the only way to protect the PFC.

Them in the VFL is another way.Having their own sides in the Competition would be a complete disaster here. The General Public won’t take up memberships with our clubs here or their own AFL Clubs, but if they did the latter, where does that leave us?

Absolutely nowhere. No,we must succeed in expelling them from the WAFL,

ASAP!

But they keep giving us the BS they can’t afford to send a Reserves Team East, despite going full bore to have a Womens’ Team in the new competition.

I couldn’t help but notice West Coast went to great pains to query the cost of a a Women’s team.Really? You lot?don’t make me laugh. That’s just a ruse to keep telling us their excuses, why they want to hang around like a Bad Smell here.Like help the AFL destroy the Competition.

I wasn’t going mention this,but now I will.

Peel no longer have a Past Players and Officials body. Why?They can’t get the Volunteers to run it,so they abandoned it.If that isn’t a direct effect of the AFL Clubs’ presence in the WAFL,I don’t know what is.

I agree with you Swandog. With Freo out of the finals race, they will start to blood their younger players in order to commence their re building phase, which would mean some of their senior players will make room and be dropped to Peel. Making Peel league team even stronger.

When the WAFL finals commence and with Freo out of the finals, Peel will have a record number of Freo players eligible to play in the finals. This time there wouldn’t be the distraction of the AFL finals to interfere with their WAFL finals campaign.

Even though I hate to say it, Peel will the dark horse for the GF!

Too bad Peel’s success won’t really be their’s.

This topic merely reinforces how appalling the host club alignment is and what a complete prostitution of the WAFL competition and its integrity due to the host club alignment.

A couple of other points worth noting is where are the legitimate Peel players based on Mikeh’s statistic that there were only 6 local players playing in the league team? If as is expected that the more experienced players like de Boer, C Pearce, Suban etc will be playing a significant number of games for “Peel” one would have to project that they will finish in the top 3 at the end of the year. What happens when Freo have finished their season will the Freo players play in the WAFL players or will Peel be required to fill their team with their ressies’ players that have been totally underwhelming thus far this season?

Good question Swan , would not be surprised if they pull them out and get forced to use ressies.

That’d be a big slap in the face for John Ditchburn, who put all his eggs in the Dockers Basket.

Would it convince him to pull the plug on the deal, contract or not?

Don’t think it would. But I reckon he’d give the Commission a call to try and get them to pull rank in the Dockers to make them play.

Interesting that many have a crack at Peel for playing so many Fremantle players, yet reading the West on Monday, in the how did they go section, I noted that East Perth fielded only one less player from the Eagles.Peel 14 East Perth 14.Not ideal I know, but why is it so wrong for Peel, yet ok for EP?
