Apparently Essendon are having a good look at Blakiston and Eastland. They have 4 picks in the mid season draft apparently. Ridiculous.

Amazing to think not one SF player on that list…as much as folk think EF can cover the loss of Blakiston, no different to Perth being able to cover the loss of Parfitt
if he goes I guess…Constable, Simpson Randall, and Byrne are all quality mids…
Though TBH, if Blakiston could get outpointed by the ikes of Scott Jones, who did struggle at the next level, then heaven help Blakiston v the likes of Gawn, Grundy, Jackson, Cameron, Xerri, Witts, De Koning, etc…
As much as folk whine about the injustice of the MSD, good luck to any player who gets a crack…fella’s like Eastland, Murdock, Sellwood, Davis et al deserve their chance, especially considering the number of spuds running around at WCE and to a lesser degree at Freo at present.
Would make it all more palatable, if the club losimg a player mid season, was compensated say 50K for their troubles…

Word is that WC have cooled on Parfitt. A few Perth players nominated - Wills, Clarke, Paton, Hine-Baston, Philip, Scoble, but no suggestion of any interest. I wonder what recruiters made of Broadbent´s eye-catching 4 disposal effort in Subi reserves?
