If he doesn’t get a start for the Swan tomorrow could one of the WA clubs prize him out of Sydney and what would it take
When Sydney drafted Logan Buddy was coming off a couple of seasons with a lot of soft tissue injuries so they probably thought he was just about done. Since then Buddy hasn’t missed many games and I believe that’s been to Logan McDonald’s detriment.
Buddy has now signed on for another year and hasn’t ruled out playing on beyond that. Logan is at his best one on one when he’s the main target. He can’t keep waiting in the wings for Buddy to turn out to pasture. If I’m Fremantle I’m trying to get him home. Eagles should be thinking the same.
By the way it wouldn’t surprise me if he runs out on Saturday. Longmire might be pulling a swifty.
They could have done with Logan today although it probably wouldnt have made much difference to the result. Reid was gone by half time and Buddy had no impact. Geelong were far too good, a bit of an embarrassment for a grand final.
Was probably a blessing in disguise for Logan to miss out on selection. Buddy hasn’t had a big impact in this finals series and that’s at least two grand finals he has produced practically nothing. The other being the 2013 GF against Fremantle. He got a goal from a lucky 50 m penalty against Luke McPharlin. Not sure he did much else and struggled to get up from a shit mixer from Hayden Ballantyne. Probably the only good thing Hayden did in that game.
IMO Buddy is only holding up McDonald’s progress and he is much better than Buddy overhead. Buddy should retire.

Would of made SFA difference, Cats were on the war path.
I see the TV ratings absolutely tanked this year going back to the boring day time GF compared to the Optus GF last year, 1 Million less viewers, to me the entire spectacle at Optus was vastly better, under lights at a albiet smaller but more advanced stadium.
Most telling was the viewing in NSW dropped 1 million on the swans 2005 GF, the game seems to have peaked and drifted north of the border.
Given the AFL is the last big league in the world still playing its final outside of Prime Time TV, it’s now almost certain they will make the move to the later start.
I think your on the money Bazz, besides, Ch7 wont like to see those numbers and they run the show so will likely demand a change in the start time to something like 6.00pm or 6.30 AEST
It will be 4.45 AEST, 2.45 WST.
