I agree that more than several clubs have sourced/recruited good players to top there list - new stability in a few of the clubs will assist their teams through the year - and of course teams that had significant changes in their list in 19’ will improve greatly this year - and so on and so on …
For the Cardies - I do not personally see a bottom of the ladder result.
As a Captain such as Blackie would not tolerate that. This year will be the test for the coach as the players alone cannot continue to carry the team on their own back - more than several players will be tested me thinks (keitel being one) with the loss of Strikey.
Even though it is very early to predict I do have my doubts Finals will be in the cards, but the overall effort will remain within the group and honest footy will prevail.

Valentine has had them for a season and now a pre-season, I reckon that he will have stamped his plan on the group. You still have a 5 or 6 key players of whom three are perhaps a or at least b+ grade wafl players. Your colts will have had an adult pre-season and who knows what they will bring to the game.

And hard to see how Venues West could offer you a long term lease considering you basically defaulted on your last lease. And your brand new facilities were only just completed a year or two ago weren’t they? How much in grants did you receive for that? What a total balls up. Having said that not sure what other options Venues West has other than to grant you year by year ongoing lease.
