Great effort from the young Warriors, only 6 runs needed to win outright.hopefully we dont loose a wicket first few balls to be 9 down, could be interesting then.
Mitch Marsh is a gun, best yet to come,Agar’s batting is outsatnding and at 19 has a big future,Sam Whiteman has put Triffet out of the wicketkeepers spot with his consistent batting.
Well done JL for giving the young fellas a shot,Warriors future looking much brighter, thankyou mate. :cheer:
Great win by WA how do you win a game after being bowled out for 97 in the first innings is beyond me, thats twice now got bowled out for 111 against the Bulls.
Could easily make the Shield final now, Coulternile and Voges should come back in for the next game, I would bring back Triffit and put Whiteman up the order to opening, Davis is a weak link up there at the moment.
wouldn’t it make sense to open with Hussey and put Voges in Husseys spot?..leave Whiteman where he is I reckon…Davis has been a huge disappointment this year…pity S.Marsh is out inured…Couter-Nile will be a handy player to come back…Cockley, Couter-Nile, Duffield and Agar…Beer injuring himself has been a godsend for WA cricket…Agar would be twiddling his thumbs in grade cricket if beer was fit…and there’s no way hell Beer would of scored 70 odd in that WA win today…
take my hat off to these guys, eating my words from after the first innings. WAy to go warriors
Great win against big odds. Marsh and Hussey got us started and when they got out I thought it was all over. Great work by Whiteman and Agar.
Thanks to 91.3 for broadcasting the game.
If we can get back to full strength we are a chance with 2 games to go
Victoria are a certainty but the other spot up for grabs if the dice roll in our favour. Bloody incredible turn around and 2013/2014 looking good with some new bloods in the team performing well.
Selections for the next two will be interesting and a couple will miss out but some one has to. Sure the selections will be correct as they have shown over the last couple of games they are willing to take risks instead of sticking with the Names rather than the form. Voges back for sure and 5 others for sure but the other 3/4?
Best of luck to the Warriors and if we fail at least we have a great base to work on for next year.
A few of us here on ozfooty have been calling for the selectors to pick the kids & get rid of the deadwood like North, Birt, Rimmington et al …amazing the reversal in form since the selectors took note!! B)
Just watched on live stream, the last wicket partnership of Hogan and Agar of 65 runs to win the game against SA, got out of jail in the last three sheild games fantastic effort all comes down to the Bulls game to make the shield final.
Beer getting injured has been a godsend for WA cricket…without his injury Agar would still be playing first grade. I know he is young but this kid has got not only ability but character too. Making runs under the pump to help WA win two games, plus stepping up and taking wickets on a consistent basis. The kid is only 19…yeah I know it’s a big jump to test level, but pressure is still pressure and you can’t ignore the fact that the kid has a bucket load of character!
Pick him for the Ashes I say, he will add a lot more to the current test side then the likes of Doherty, Maxwell and Lyon. Well done to Hogan too…TBH Davis should be batting 11 and Hogan opening…Harris saved his bacon with a gutsy 70…are WA destined to for some glory this year…because they seem to be sneaking over the line when they have been down and out…well done WA…but JL still a few changes to be made…Davis for one needs to go…go for Hussey to open and Bossito to 6.
You are spot on about this bloke Freezin, i watched him in the u/19 world cup i think he may have even been captain he looked like someone that really values their wicket.
Seem to have improved out of sight under Langer ( well done). How long ago was Mickey Arthurs at the WACA?. Meaning Langer is doing well, yet Arthurs seemed to do not a lot, but snared the Aussie cricket coach GIG???
Another fighting win by the boys.Well done to them.
It good to see that young Agars is playing a big role in our performances.
Lets hope that there is not too much pressure put on him as the saviour of the Australian side.He still has a lot of learning to do before he becomes the Messiah.
Lets leave the kid develop at shield level before we throw him to the wolves.
Ssssh, let’s keep it a bit quiet eh unk? Looks as though WA finally got the better deal
From bottom to potential Sheild finalists thats not bad from jl I don’t know about Marcus Harris though apart from the weekend he doesn’t score many runs
