Jack Watts.

Jack Watts will yet another role for the Melbourne Football Club this season.Since his first game Watts has played in almost all positions on the ground. His football has suffered as a result of this instability. To me he is a player with it all but has never been allowed to settle in one position for the club.
He will play this season in the mid field for the Dees this season under the Roos regime.
I think it is a good move.Hopefully Roos will play him there for the whole season and allow him to blossom as a player and a team man.

I dont see Jack Watts as a midfielder. I see him as a half back flanker. The dees traded and drafted for the midfield. Their midfield has improved. But their defence has not. Settle him down back, he reads the play well (obviously playing his juniors as a FWD), he has good skills. Perfect attributes for a flanker.

THeir fwd line looks good healthy. Add Howe into that as he is pushed away form the midfield, which is another good move. Put Vince, Cross and the up and comers with Jones and their midfield has definately improved and will keep improving. That leaves down back, which did struggle last year. Leave Watts their for the season.

I tend to agree with you there Soprano. Back men have to be fast and Watts holds one of the best 20m times.
But then so does Ash Smith :frowning:

hahaha very true, would have to be the slowest quick player ever…

Who do you think melbourne should of taken in the 2008 draft instead of jack watts dayne beams is my choice he wasnt picked up untill round 2 pick 29 or daniel hannebery at pick 30

Hindsight is a beautiful thing.
